House gives Trump 7 days to prove Trump Tower was wiretapped

"The president-elect appears to be going to war with his own spies." :eusa_naughty:

"What’s closer to treason? Political opposition to a candidate, or siding with a hostile foreign power in the Intel war?”

Leading GOP Strategist Labels Trump and His Supporters Traitors
Op-eds are the best you have? Looks like lefties are increasingly losing their little feeble minds. Hysteria hasn't worked so let's have more hysteria.
LOLOL

and Trump has what to reference that Obama wiretap his phones?

asshats require proof from Obama and no proof from Trump.

and they're too stupid to know they're stupid

allow me to reword that ..

asshats require proof from Obama that Russians hacked the Dems, but NO proof Trump was wiretapped by Obama.
well so far no evidence that russians hacked the dems, now six months, dems won't give the FBI their server, why? We know that Michael Flynn was tapped at trump tower, EVIDENCE!!! what is it you don't understand exactly? other than you have no evidence that russia did anything. LOL read below...

Trump’s wiretap claims, then, carry presumably inadvertent implications. First, based on previous reporting and the nature of FISA courts, any wiretaps within Trump Tower would be legal. And they would stem from overwhelming evidence that the Trump campaign, or someone within it, has unsavory ties to Russia or another foreign power. Otherwise, it’s unlikely those wiretaps would exist at all.

evidence Donnieboi, back up your horseshit TWEET

One correction. FISA warrants are only for foreigners. If the primary is domestic, they have to get a search warrant.

uh oh looks like traitorous trump has cornered himself into having to disclose the sources and methods of his private spy network!

When did Trump say he loved wikileaks? SNL skit? What authority do libs in the house have to order the president to do anything? Do you understand the separation of powers thingy and why it exists?
The NYTIMES reported that Trump's people were wiretapped

They reported the Russians were wiretapped
Under the law, if the wire tap includes a conversation with an American for whom no surveillance warrant has been issued, the identity of the American must be masked, but we know for a fact that in the case of Mike Flynn, the mask was removed and the information about his conversation with the Russian ambassador was used by Obama holdovers on the Justice Department to get Flynn fired. How many more Trump associates were illegally spied on by this method?
If the American is suspected of breaking the law, nobody has to mask shit.

"Flynn’s communications with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were interpreted by some senior U.S. officials as an inappropriate and potentially illegal signal to the Kremlin that it could expect a reprieve from sanctions that were being imposed by the Obama administration in late December to punish Russia for its alleged interference in the 2016 election." National security adviser Flynn discussed sanctions with Russian ambassador, despite denials, officials say
Besides, Trump said that his phones (I.e. Trump's phones) were wiretapped in the Trump tower, and you come here trying to talk about Flynn.
If there is no warrant to surveil the American, then his identity is protected under the law, but the Obama administration holdovers in the Justice Department clearly violated the law in the case of Mike Flynn. How many other Trump associates were spied on in this illegal manner by the Obama administration?

The Mike Flynn case provides clear evidence that the Obama administration used the pretext of spying on some people for whom they had warrants in order to illegally collect potentially politically damaging intelligence on the Trump campaign and transitional government, making the Obama administration a much greater threat to our democracy than anything the Russians might have hoped to do.
Trumpists are twisting like a pretzel in this thread. From the question of whether Trump's phones were wiretapped, they have now shifted to, "Was information about Flynn illegally disclosed"?
7 days.
The question is, were Trump and his associates illegally surveilled by the Obama administration, and the case of Mike Flynn seems to indicate they were. Your position seems to be it was ok if Obama broke the law and corrupted our intelligence services to try to collect politically damaging intelligence as long as it wasn't by wire tapping.

The evidence is all in the public domain and in about half a dozen articles that discuss the electronic surveilance done on Trumps associates, and no, they dont have to mask the Americans identity if they are caught in the surveillance as General Flynn's was not.

And some stupid ape Dimmocrat leaked this classified personal information to the world?

roflmao this is getting fun!
Does that mean Trump was wiretapped or just his associates? What have these associates done that would cause Justice Dept surveillance

neither, RW's are grabbing their ass...

FISA warrants don’t allow for broad wiretaps of, say, every call going in and out of a specific office in a 58-story Manhattan skyscraper. Federal authorities must demonstrate not just probable cause, but that a given phone line serves primarily to undermine US interests. It’s difficult, for instance, to obtain a warrant to wiretap a shared office, for fear of picking up innocent third-party conversations.

they need probable cause to get that as well. so what was the probable cause for flynn? and where is the warrant?

Let's say the media finds 10 things Trump is right about and 2 things he is wrong about. The entire focus of the hype will be on the 2 and will ignore the 10.

That's because they expect, especially once someone becomes president, and the world is listening to his every word, that nearly 100% of what he says has been fact-checked, verified, gone over, and gone over again.

The 16 words that George W. Bush spoke at the 2002 state of the union about Iraq trying to get uranium from Africa is an example of something George Tenet took the blame for it not being up to presidential standards of being true.

So if Trump is getting 20% of what he says wrong, somebody isn't doing their job.

ALL, and I repeat ALL, Trump has to do is pony up the evidence that proves his TWEET is true.

how hard can that be?

IF HE FUCKING HAS ANY ?

IDK. They should have. We have an ongoing Progressive Coup d'etat and no one seems to take it seriously

This is like the Warren Report on Kennedy in Dallas. The high powers decide we can't handle the truth so they keep it from us. Trump has the proof but if he shows it, Obama could be arrested and charged. Trump let the Clinturds off and Barack has been much more civil to him than willy and hilly. Of course he has the proof but he won't show his cards in public...that's why Congress will have to do it and they have no power to charge the jugged-eared Kenyan with a crime.

WTF?

Russians were being wiretapped, not Flynn. What you're claiming is that Obama knew Flynn was in contact with Russians; and not just any Russians, but the Russians they were wiretapping. What evidence do you have to support that?
What I am stating is that at a minimum Obama administration officials from the intelligence agencies and Justice Department sifted through intercepts of telephone calls, emails, etc. of people who were being surveilled legally under warrants in order to try to uncover politically damaging intelligence on Trump and his associates. By law, Flynn's identity had to be masked so there is no way the Obama holdovers in the Justice Department could have known about these calls unless they illegally removed the mask for corrupt political purposes. This is the moral equivalent of the Nixon Watergate scandal, but in a practical sense it is much more serious and dangerous since it shows the Obama political organization reached far inside the Justice Department and intelligence servicesm, two key elements of our government vital to our security, to corrupt them for political purpose, making Obama a greater threat to our democracy than Vladimir Putin could ever hope to be.

Comey is scheduled to testify some time after March 20, but I suspect most of the discussion about warrants will be held in closed hearings. There are reasons why surveillance warrants are secret.
