House Passes Month-Long Spending Bill With Two Days Until Shutdown
The House on Tuesday approved a stopgap spending bill, this time hoping to kick the can on full-year appropriations to Dec. 20.

It's a shame we don't have a constitutional amendment that would automatically extend the prior budget for another year if Congress and the President haven't enacted a new one. That would give the government a whole year more to fight over setting a new budget.
