I guess Obama has been too busy protecting his "Fat Cat" bankers, Corporate leaders and entertainment buddies or maybe, too absorbed with vacations, golf, wasting taxpayer 'investments" (taxes) and promoting racial division across the country and the world to consider African American unemployment right here in the USA...oh well.

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama's failed job policies are facing bitter criticism from African-American leaders who say black unemployment has grown worse under his presidency.

After four years of holding their tongues and remaining quiet in the face of sharply rising black unemployment and record poverty, political leaders from the Congressional Black Caucus to the NAACP have begun to open fire on the White House.

Obama won 96 percent of the black vote in 2008 and about the same percentage in 2012, despite a worsening jobless crisis among African-Americans. At 14 percent for adults and 43.1 percent for 16-to-19-year-old teenagers, blacks still have the highest jobless rate of any minority group in the U.S.

Black leaders in Congress largely kept their complaints to themselves throughout Obama's first term in office and his re-election campaign. But no longer.

It does seem odd that Black unemployment is so high under a Black President. It seems like a Black president would do something about it.

But, I can't help but wonder if the high Black unemployment under a Black President is because the Black President has awarded so many benefits to the unemployed...that it no longer pays to work.

Humanity is inured by its history to a "subsistence living". Most people are glad to make that around the world today. They earn a subsistence.

In America that's a little house or an apartment, food and drink, clothes, an old car and a T.V., beer and cigarette money. And the Government provides that.

Why should Americans be an exception to the rest of mankind.

Give them a subsistence...and a lot of them will sit on the porch.

Good points...

I have said it before and will say it again..

Since when is it the job of the President of the United States to "help" only certain segments of the citizenery based upon their skin color or gender?

I have always been taught that the President was supposed to be the President of all of Citizens... Not just the ones they look like.

Or maybe his job as the President is not to only look out for Black people. He is the POTUS not the POTBUS. If the Black unemployment rate was low the far right would be crying foul.

Now that you mention it that would probably be in their best interest. More propaganda to sale to the conservative right population that are afraid of minorities taking jobs that they feel belong to them.

Blacks, for the most part, will probably always be slaves to Democrat policies, even at the expense of their pride and future generations.

Notice even now EMPLOYMENT is a 'TOP PRIORITY' for him as he goes around on the campaign trail in recent weeks? (And for the "middle class out")...and NOT said BOO about the plight of blacks?

This has to further infuritate these leaders.

Where was he five years ago?

Democrats play the race card, make promises, get their black voting block.. then it's lip service until the next election. How often until African Americans catch on...history says their incapable.

Shame...and history is for them to see...but alas, they fail to look at it.
