How bad does a president have to be to get impeached?

Good question. As we all know, Obama set a very high bar for Impeachment. Empowering a Terrorist state, failing to protect Americans under attack as Commander-In-Chief, providing arms to the Mexican drug Cartel, etc etc. So to answer your question a president would have to be worse than Obama at a minimum and whoo boy that is a tall task indeed.
Shit, all a dem President has to do is lie about a blowjob. A Repug can do anything and get away with it.

This was the question that Washington Post columnist and associate editor Eugene Robinson asked on MSNBC's Ari Melber show, The Beat, a few hours ago.

How much more does Trump have to do to warrant impeachment? Shoot someone on 5th Avenue?

What do you think?

Mueller Reiterates Investigation Didn’t Exonerate Trump, Hints At Impeachment

Mueller report - Department of Justice

Bad enough that the person leading the investigation of said president clearly indicates a crime committed. How about we start there? :

Mueller can indicate all he wants, but he needs sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, that a crime was committed by Trump.

What Mueller failed to include in his hatchet job were probable legal defenses to the crime of attempted obstruction. Kind of like self defense is a defense to a charge of murder.

The prosecutor is required to prove each and every element of the criminal statute that he/she is charging. A defense to a single element is sufficient to nullify the presence of a crime.

Mueller is a lying douchebag, just like you.

Why are you so uninformed? You neglected to mention that Barr has NOT released the complete unredacted Mueller report along with all the hundreds or thousands of pages of supporting evidence. Congress is still fighting to get this valuable information that Barr is withholding.

Do you honestly believe that you or congress have the ability to find a crime in those thousands of pages of raw evidence that 18 prosecutors and over 50 FBI agents couldn't find in over two years.

An obstruction charge against Donald Trump would require the congress to prove a corrupt intent. Very hard to do in any case, and almost impossible to do to a president, who is the boss of the Attorney General.

You think it's hard to prove corrupt intent when a person asks another person to lie to a federal prosecutor? You think it's hard to prove corrupt intent when you have 11 different instances of obstruction of justice. Information does not exist in a vacuum you do realize this? It's beyond REASONABLE doubt, not any doubt. You do realize the difference between the two?

There are no instances of obstruction of justice, shit for brains.

Efforts to have McGahn deny that the President had ordered him to have the Special Counsel removed. The President reacted to the news stories by directing White House officials to tell McGahn to dispute the story and create a record stating he had not been ordered to have the Special Counsel removed. McGahn told those officials that the media reports were accurate in stating that the President had directed McGahn to have the Special Counsel removed. The President then met with McGahn in the Oval Office and again pressured him to deny the reports. In the same meeting, the President also asked McGahn why he had told the Special Counsel about the President's effort to remove the Special Counsel and why McGahn took notes of his conversations with the President. McGahn refused to back away from what he remembered happening and perceived the President to be testing his mettle.

Yes, I fully understand what is involved in corrupt intent, and I also understand that citing possible cases of attempted obstruction do not make them attempted obstruction. Each case would have to be proved individually. And, there is where the rub is. A president exercising his powers as the leader of the executive branch, can take action that you might not like, but would be entirely legal.

Actually, cases don't have to be proven individually. One instance of something that's borderline criminal might not make a crime. But if a prosecutor can establish that a person willfully engages in a certain activity this would have bearing on establishing corrupt intent. One can use several instances to establish a pattern of behavior. And we aren't talking about powers of the executive branch. We are talking about establishing corrupt intent by an individual.

This is so fucking stupid.

If being a bad president was a reason for impeachment, Carter wouldn't have made it 2 years.

The left wants to impeach Trump because he is actually keeping his campaign promises, something that is very rarely done any more.

They want to impeach him because he ruined their plans to take down America and turn us into a socialist hellhole. That is not a crime.

I am tired of their whining because Trump gave us little people a tax break, wants to secure our borders and uphold federal immigration laws, and he overturned some of Obama's policies.

The result- We got to keep more of our hard earned money last year. Unemployment at a record low, especially for minorities. Economy doing well. More jobs available than we've had in decades. Plans for one world government seriously fucked up. Plans for socialist America seriously fucked up. Plans for eliminating borders seriously fucked up. Plans to relinquish sovereignty seriously fucked up. Liberal dreams seriously fucked up. The constitution still stands. Suck it, leftist radicals.

I'm voting for him again.

And those states who think they can get around the constitution and just ignore the way people in their state vote have another thing coming. Need a convention of states to change things and I doubt that will happen.

You can't impeach a president because he ruined your plans to destroy America.

Really? Have you read the Mueller report? Sounds like you should...

Mueller report - Department of Justice

"How bad does a president have to be to get impeached?"

Ask the dems.

They control the House FFS.

Impeachment is a political process not a legal one. That which is needed are votes to impeach and votes to remove. After that process, if laws were broken, a legal trial in a regular court can begin. As of now with the Republicans holding the Senate in a large number there is little chance of removal. The Senate Republicans apparently feel no backlash from Republican voters if they do not vote for removal, much less a conviction for a crime. Democrats, knowing this, are biding their and looking for other avenues.
Their desperate rhetoric bears this out. Well done.

Your worst nightmare won't be enough.

He needs to be found guilty of a CRIME. Unfortunate for you, this is AMERICA, not the third world order you crave for freak.

Trump certainly sets the standard for bad – if any president warranted impeachment, it’s Trump.

Just another case of the little boy crying wolf, like we didn't know the left was trying to impeach Trump before he was sworn in because they didn't like the results of an election..

It's like They are stupid or something..

CNN's Don Lemon attempts to shame Trump voters over Mueller: 'Are they brainwashed?'

During their nightly hand-off, Lemon expressed the frustration he has with President Trump's voters to his primetime colleague Chris Cuomofollowing remarks made by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

"Are you more interested in the welfare of the country, are you more interested in the truth or facts or are you more interested in protecting the president?" Lemon asked of the president's supporters.
