Well, at least one way

The GOP is jumping on board with the "green investments" that will make them rich, but destroy the economy and the American way of life.

So what's your plan to replace fossil fuels when they run out?

I mean, beside leaving humanity shivering in the dark.
I'm glad you asked. Since there is a 50 year reserve of oil and natural gas (just based on known fuel reserves) I would implement a 50 year plan to GRADUALLY replace fossil fuels with a combination of nuclear plants, hydrogen fuel cells, solar, wind and a small percentage of battery power. EVs are an environmental nightmare and I would greatly limit their use.

Voters in each state would become instantly informed by checking mega corps and PAC donations online and follow the horse trading. These are public records but sadly most voters won't take the time to do it. When I complain (it happens, ha!) I try to make sure I've done all I could do to at least learn about the particulars of my beef to see what I can do if anything on a small scale. All small scales eventually add up, even within the political circus, ousting one crook at a time.

They aren’t selling out. They are helping out.

And here I thought it was about climate change.

LOL

Do try to keep your talking points cohesive and coherent.

We have already been doing that, both in the private and public sectors.

Lol. Running out…lol.
Socialists just assume there will be a shortage of everything eventually cuz that's what happens with socialism in charge of things. And as we all know, socialism can't be the cause of the shortages, just because.

So long as they are not put in control of the fossil fuel supply, this should not happen.

I love the denial that is on display here.

Wow.

Yes, the more resources we use from the earth, the quicker they will be exhausted. We need a plan to replace our sources of energy.

Nuclear is the way to go.

Wait....According to the green-weenies of the 70s we were supposed to be out of fossil fuels by now. What gives?

Well, they said we were heading into the new wooly mammoth ice age back in the late 70s and then that didn't pan out, so they said the oceans were going to rise 20 feet....and then that petered out. Now, it's all hands on deck, cows are farting too much and we all need to eat bugs, crickets, and other assorted lizard food along with 4 billion people needing to die because they're exhaling out too much CO2. It's just one wild fantasy after the next.

I'm talking about greatly expanding the use nuclear and hydrogen and greatly curtailing EVs. Solar and WInd have a role to play but a minor role unless there is a huge improvement in efficiency.
Why greatly curtail EV’s? Part of the issue is it takes time to improve technology, efficiency and build the necessary infrastructure AND it is expensive until a tipping point is reached when there is enough population invested to lower costs and drive competitive innovation. It is no different than when cars and gas powered engines first came out.

The rare earth metal extraction is extremely toxic to the environment.

The batteries are around 1000 pounds and loaded with toxic metals. Creating hundreds of millions of EV batteries will require massive mining to get the metals needed. That will create serious environmental problems and then when batteries get damaged or old they will create another environmental problem. Power grids do not have enough capacity to handle millions of EVs charging.
