How to sentence Trump, what is fair?

Don't do anything to him. He's far too sensitive (I don't think hairspray and makeup are allowed in jail), and his holy warriors will fly airplanes into skyscrapers. Fuck it.

Nah. Magaturds don't fly. They will probably try to drive their big rigs into them. To pwn da libz. Or something.

It seems to me that to stop the accusation that Trump was singled out for political purposes, the goal here is to take the same offense Trump committed and hand down a similar sentence.

So,

1. What is the felony charge?

2. What was the average sentence for it?

Go!!
My opinion is that since the trial itself wasn't fair then we shouldn't be trying to decide what a fair sentence should be.

Nobody else has ever been charged like that. :dunno:

Apparently quite a few have.

A core crime that the Manhattan District Attorney will likely include in an indictment of former President Donald Trump is “falsifying business records in the first degree,” a felony under New York State law (N.Y. Penal Code § 175.10). Prosecutors and indeed all of us are compelled by the rule of law to consider how such a charge compares to past prosecutions. Are like cases being treated alike?

Here it appears they are. Prosecution of falsifying business records in the first degree is commonplace and has been used by New York district attorneys’ offices to hold to account a breadth of criminal behavior from the more petty and simple to the more serious and highly organized. We reach this conclusion after surveying the past decade and a half of criminal cases across all the New York district attorneys’ offices.

I'd sentence him to six months for each count to run concurrently. Then stick him in Rikers for four months. That should cool his orange jets. If he shows remorse during the next month, I'd probate the sentences.
It's unlikely that an ex-president would ever be sent to prison. A suspended sentence or house arrest would be more likely.
