Protests Turn Violent As Demonstrators Arrested In Front Of Philadelphia ICE Building

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Protests turned violent as activists were taken into custody on the streets of Philadelphia on Tuesday as they were calling for the abolishment of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The protests are taking place in front of the ICE office on 8th and Cherry Streets in Center City.



CBS3 video captures police and some activists clashing while officers were clearing an encampment outside the ICE building on Tuesday afternoon. CBS3’s Alicia Nieves reported the scene turned chaotic and aggressive.

An unknown number of protesters were arrested.

Everywhere in this country and at each planned protest of immigration policy, the Dept of Justice should have Federal Marshalls on hand, working closely with ICE agents to question the citizens of these protests about their legal immigration status.

Any and all illegals should be immediately taken into custody, given a summons to appear at their home countries embassy, and summarily deported to their home country.

If they wish to stand trail for being in this country without proper authorization, they can do so through the gates of their embassy. They will have to find funding for travel to their embassy, but it will be at their own expense. The summons to appear will hold that if found again inside the territory of the U.S.A. without proper authorization, they will be summarily convicted of a felony and spend no less than five years in a federal prison.
