If State Legislators/Governor Won't Enact Rent Control, Vote Them Out

eventually you will be dead and it will no longer matter. NOD if you understand.
Eventually we ALL will dead. This thread is lopsided enough with all the anti-business and anti-renter loons in here, without being morbid.

Fruity... if you a business owner and you ain't making the rent..
A. raise your rates
B, if that don't work find another profession.
Ha ha. Anything but landlords charging normal rents, with normal rent increases, right Mr landlord groupie ?

Hmmm. Still wondering what your VESTED INTEREST is. How many properties do you own ?

As for my profession. I'm retired and on a very tight fixed income (as are millions of senior citizens, many of them renters). I make a few bucks occasionally selling my paintings & giving music lessons. But this aint about us. Its about landlords going back to normal rent increases, instead of running wild, like they've been doing.

Fruity....
Property insurance has gone up 30% and the Property taxes have nearly doubled..

You want the landlord to take it in the ass?

.
No. He's none of that. He's just an angry, stupid, bad mannered old man with bad teeth and badly dyed hair.
You say that only because he's a conservative, and you're a liberal. If Michel was a liberal, you'd praise him to the moon.

Fruity.. I own my house outright. I have never rented anything but a hotel and a car for vacation.
This is YOUR problem, not the Landlords.
Raise your rates to cover the added expenses.
Fool. How can I (and millions of other business owners) raise rates, when sales are down (because of exhorbitantly high rents) Every business owner I know has been LOWERING their rates because sales are so bad (because of landlords). Some have even closed up shop, and gone of of business.

Fruity... find a profession that pays more or pack your bags and move.

I told you - I'm retired. Most retirees dont paint or play/teach music, as I do, and only have their Social Security for income. And they were doing OK before landlords went on wild, rent raising sprees.

Poor financial planning for retirement is a PERSONAL problem.

haven't you noticed ? > I'm not buying the poor landlord line.
Not when they are doing 100-200% inflation, and previously they werent going above 5%.

And BTW, if I'm fruity so are the dozens of Florida Republicans who voted in favor of a rent control law in 2023.

Not poor financial planning. The financial planning is fine. It is the landlords that are out of order.

No one cares if you buy it or not..
Pay the price or pack your bags and move.

I (and millions of other renters & business owners) was fine until landlords started jacking up rents to unprecedented levels.

Rents can't be "jacked up" unless there are renters both willing and able to pay them.

That is how markets work.

If, as you claim, you work in the rental market, you should know that.

You should also be aware of the devastation of that market that has historically followed politically-motivated interference in that market.

Here is sound Advice for this life and the Afterlife.

If it FFF it is cheaper to rent. Other than that, buy it.

You're demanding that landlords take a loss to keep your rent cheap and you haven't a clue you're a socialist.
