1. When you are black and have traditionally been bused to the polls every sunday for years, and then can't when the Red State Governor signs a bill to close the polls every sunday.
2. When you are old or infirm and cannot drive to a polling place which has been moved further away, and requires several transfers to and back by public transportation to their home suppresses their vote.
2a. Unless Public Transportation is free, then it becomes a poll tax.

Only two examples of voter suppression, to post more would be a waste of my time since the readers who support vote suppression won't even read #1 or #2.
1) well election day is on a Tuesday....so not sure what's being closed on a Sunday
2) ask for an absentee ballot, every state allows absentee voting in those cases.

But we have had absentee ballots for some time....with that said, in your hypo how was the infirm that can't drive getting to the polling place before the polling place was moved further away? Why can't they use the same method they used before?

1. Election Day is never on Sunday.

2. The government is not required to transport you to a polling site. By this reasoning, driving yourself to a polling place be considered a “polling tax” since gasoline costs money. If someone uses buses for everyday needs anyway, then the government isn’t obligated to pay for it when they use it to vote. Even if you walk, is the government going to have to pay for your fuel, that being calories/food?

You are confused, again. The Constitution has a number of ambiguities and have been argued since it was in the process of being ratified.

We need background checks and voter ID. Votes do more violence than guns

RESPONSE: County Clerks in most states are responsible to vet their voters. Do you want big government to take on these duties. Makes you into a bigger hypocrite if you do.
