I don't think the issue is whether she's mentally sound --- the issue is how long she'll be Speaker. Remember that she LOST the impeachment. That is big and has consequences. It already rose Trump's approval rate up to his highest level and higher than Obama. She won't be Speaker if this helps defeat the Dem candidate and she won't be Speaker if Trump's coattails get back the House for the GOP, and I think we will. I bet there is a lot of plotting going on in the House right now about who will replace Nancy --- in both parties.

Her reign as Speaker is ending ignominiously. Serves her right.

What just happened there? The new crop of Representatives, especially "The Squad" of women, rebelled as soon as they got in against Nancy as Speaker and tried to get someone else. To get them to let her have the leadership, she had to promise them an impeachment, which we all know she knew better than to do.

I guess that was her moment of truth. She should have given up the Speakership and let one of those crazies try it on and ruin themselves. Instead, she was the face of impeachment, and wow, did that ever not work. I can see that was a hard decision. She wanted badly to keep the power. Well, she did a wrong thing and it didn't work for her.

Nancy Pelosi is mentally stable for a woman advanced in age like she is ( yes, she is old ) and her stunt of ripping the Speech up was for those like Omar, Talib, Cortez, Warren, Sanders and their voting base without realizing the massive backlash it would cause.

If GOP take the House in November it will bring Pelosi to an end again on a failed idea once again ( ACA when Obama was President and Trump removal ) and if Democrats retain the House expect Cortez, Talib, and Omar to be more vocal with the idea of getting someone like Cortez in the Speaker Chair but settling for Schiff instead...
