I can hardly remember a day from my student years at @AUB_Lebanon that I went without a Kufiyyah. I had a strong feeling of righteousness, that I was taking the side of the underdog against the more powerful, that the narrative that I knew about Palestine was airtight and foolproof. But then, with some more reading and life experience, I matured, and began seeing things more clearly: Palestine was a lie, an excuse for failure from within. The Palestine narrative was made by tyrants and charlatans, and bought by hapless and illiterate masses. One of my earliest eye openers was the physical proximity that I got to #Israel, starting May 2000.
