I've Never Understood Why Republicans Call Themselves Conservative

Bush ended on a truly disastrous note (2009).
You know that FY2009 was passed by a Dem congress and signed into law by The Obama in March 2009 - right?
You know fiscal year 2009 started Oct 2008 and TARP was sign by President Bush on Oct 3rd - right?
Oohh.. you did NOT know that FY2209 was passed by Democrats and signed into law by Obama. Interesting,.
That explains why you don't understand the fallacy of blaming Bush for the deficits of FY2009.
Glad I could clear that up.

Did anyone bring up budget cuts during the GOP debate ?

Cause building a wall on the men border and increasing military budgets is not going to balance a budget !

In the debate I didn't see the Democrats discussing the enormous debt that was incurred under Obama and will continue if The Hildabeast or that clown Sanders get elected.

All I heard from all of the Democrat idiots (except Webb) is how they were going to give away free stuff to everybody and their little brown dog and no plans on how they were going to pay for it.

The Democrats are more concerned about appealing to the greed and envy of their Moon Bat base then they are about fiscal responsibility. That is why they are the scum of America.

If the Democrats were to be more interested in paying the country's enormous debt than they are to take away the right to keep and bear arms then we would all be better off.
Democrats won't pay it back.

A tax increase is just an invitation to spend more to them.

True.

I think the Republicans know how to stimulate capitalism and grow the economy. Democrats don't don't have a clue how to do that. All they know how to do is raid the Treasury for the welfare queens and other greedy special interest groups.

However, I think that the Republicans pretty well have a record of growing the economy but then also spending the money.

That is why I don't have faith in either party.

Bush spending commitments do not end the day he leaves office. The debt at the end of Bush's last fiscal year was nearly 12 trillion and the 2 trillion in interest on that debt can hardly be blamed on Obama, if you were honest.

The debt at the end of Bush's last fiscal year was nearly 12 trillion

Why do you feel that?
Bullshit.

That's an extra $1.3 trillion.
Bullshit!

Your figures for Bush and Obama are based on attributing all of 2009 to Bush when Obama took over the budget in Feb of 2009. In other words, they are total bullshit. All the spending from the so-called "stimulus" became part of the baseline budget every year thereafter. So Obama engineered a massive increase in 2009 and continued those high spending levels for the remainder of his administration.

O has increased the debt by 9 trillion, more than all presidents combined.
Why does nobody seem to understand the concept of debt in relation to GDP, or adjusting for inflation?

Medicare itself is nothing but a huge swindle, so it hardly matters if the government spent the funds on something else.

Here's your reality check.

Only Yesterday—-How The Federal Debt Went From $1 Trillion To $18 Trillion in 33 Years

In the great fiscal scheme of things, October 22, 1981 seems like only yesterday. That’s the day the US public debt crossed the $1 trillion mark for the first time. It had taken the nation 74,984 days to get there (205 years). What prompts this reflection is that just a few days ago the national debt breached the $18 trillion mark; and the last trillion was added in hardly 365 days.

Only Yesterday—-How The Federal Debt Went From $1 Trillion To $18 Trillion in 33 Years

They debt was $10.6 trillion the day Obama took office. It's now $18.1 trillion.
Looks like Obama increased the debt by a larger amount than any previous president.
Nep.......they were Bush budgets.

Obama hasn't passed one single budget he's proposed. So it's all Bush's fault.

Bush funded two wars with emergency spending bills and doubled the national debt from $5.7 trillion to nearly $12 trillion. Those are facts.....not horse shit from Fox News.

How in the name of goodness can a president cut tax rates for his rich buddies and go in debt for two blazing wars where thousands of young Americans die 10,000 miles from their homes?

How in the name of goodness can a president cut tax rates for his rich buddies

He cut taxes for everybody.

Funny.....mine didn't change.

I remember Reagan"s "Trickle Down"

A millionaire cleared enough to buy a new Mercedes each year and an ordinary worker cleared enough to buy a muffler for one. You people shouldn't be allowed to vote....you're not smart enough.

There is no economic theory called "Trickle Down". It's made up bullshit by leftist nutters.

O has increased the debt by 9 trillion, more than all presidents combined.
Why does nobody seem to understand the concept of debt in relation to GDP, or adjusting for inflation?

When you adjust Obama's $7.5 trillion, so far, for inflation, what do you get?

Is that before or after subtracting the over two trillion which was used to pay the interest on Reagan and the Bushes debt? You people should start getting some of your news from CNN and lay off of that Fox News horse shit for a while:

Democrats won't pay it back.

A tax increase is just an invitation to spend more to them.

True.

I think the Republicans know how to stimulate capitalism and grow the economy. Democrats don't don't have a clue how to do that. All they know how to do is raid the Treasury for the welfare queens and other greedy special interest groups.

However, I think that the Republicans pretty well have a record of growing the economy but then also spending the money.

That is why I don't have faith in either party.

LOL....Bill Clinton raised tax rates, we had eight years of unmatched growth in economy and he left a surplus. I might add....NO WARS
