they may believe that, but its simply not true. Under democrats the welfare rolls increase, poverty increases, unemployment increases, illegal immigration increases----------all bad for minorities.

At least the dems of the 1700s and 1800s were honest about slavery. They supported it and fought to save it. Photo ID is not required for food stamps, but it makes it easier. There are many ways to ID a person.
The point though is not so much the photo ID, but also closing DMV offices to make it harder to get ID, and shutting polling places, or reducing hours. Also purging voter rolls.

Want examples? Kansas requires voters to present proof of citizenship when registering(though they didn't tell voters this)- and some 30,000 voters were denied their right to vote when Kansas rejected their votes.

Isn't it odd that for most of our history our Democracy and our electoral system worked fine without Americans being forced to show their identity papers when voting.

tell me this, what person that is legally in the USA does not have some form of government issued ID? Who are these people that you are so worried about, how many are there, where are they, why don't they have some form of ID, how do they get through daily life with no ID?
