John Oliver Warns U.S. Over Trump: ‘There Are No F**king Do-Overs’

Did John Oliver tell you how expensive it is eta: was for Britain to be in the EU club? Like 8 billion pounds last year alone? Almost as much as the Home budget for the country?

DAMNITT!!! Quit with the facts!! It's the job of England to stay and take care of everyone else! :)

It's like (a little) like the US and the United Nations. We pay MORE (far MORE) than any other country to the UN - but we get nothing for it. Hell, they even meet on OUR soil in perpetuity and WE foot the bill. I read, some time ago, that New York has nearly a billion dollars worth of unpaid traffic fines from these asshole "delegates" to the UN.

What benefits did Britain get for that money?

NOTHING - except for immigrants, crime, loss of jobs, loss of sovereignty, loss of society, loss of heritage ...........need I go on?

News from comedians pretending to be journalist. What's next, Deez Nutz getting a majority of the presidential poll over real canidates? Opps!

I learned more facts and truth from The Daily Show (Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver) than on cable news.
Scary. No wonder America is so fucked.

Nah, it's because you get all you know from 6 major mutlinational corporations who control ~90% of what you see, hear, and read.
You mean instead of the voice of Vanity Smurf?

No wonder America is so fucked.

Instead of 50 some odd companies like back in the 80s.

Some food for thought:

"This is the saddest of all the many claims that those who want to leave Europe have made… The argument is: if we come out, we save 7 billion pounds a year. But, of course, it doesn’t work like that. There are two countries – Norway and Switzerland – who are not members of the European Union but have got trading agreements of the sort that we would have to renegotiate with Europe. And, if you actually look at what they pay for their trading agreements, it’s quite obvious that there would be very little saving, if any, for Britain, because we would have to agree as part of the new negotiations the cost of entry to that market.

But, you know, there is one fundamental difference. Norway, and Switzerland – although having access, and paying for that access – get told the conditions upon which their industrialists can trade. If we put ourselves in that position, we know that the French, Germans, Italians, Spanish, other industrial countries within the European Union, would set the rules, and they would tell us what we had to do. By being a member of the Single European Market, we help design the rules. So, A) We wouldn’t save any money. And B) We would be told what conditions would apply to us."

None. They paid in something close to 13 billion pounds and got back 4 billion pounds means they supported the EU with 8 billion for the chance to be in the EU.

That's fubar'd.
