"Judge" Napolitano is inept as a legal expert!

Nappy has been upset ever since he pitched Trump appointing him to the Supreme Court and got turned down.

I care very little about Trump. He's just another New York Democrat.

With regard to the topic itself, we have a very good guide. It's called the constitution.

Federalist papers, conveniently, are a blueprint for a better understanding of it.
The constitution supports constitutional statutes, one of which permits the federal government to protect federal properties...such as federal buildings. That is the sole reason for the presence of federal officers in Portland at this time. They were protecting the federal courthouse. They were not sent there to assist the local LEO in dealing with protestors unrelated to the federal courthouse. Despite what the asshole liberal leaders in Oregon stated, they did identify themselves to the persons they were arresting.

Watch the news. You might learn something now and then.

Not being sure how much Napolitano is paid by Fox News to be their resident legal "expert", I can still say without any doubt that he's being overpaid.

I've seen this goofball several times come on as a guest and make stupid mistakes regarding interpretation of US law and the constitution.

Just today, he claimed that federal LEO cannot operate within a state without an invitation from the governor of that state or a mayor within that state. He says that President Trump's sending federal officers into Portland was wrong and unconstitutional.

Napolitano is FULL OF SHIT! Federal LEO can go to wherever federal laws are broken. They can investigate, pursue, arrest and prosecute persons suspected of committing federal crimes. They can protect federal properties from vandalism and deliberate damage by persons participating in protests and riots WHETHER THEY ARE INVITED INTO THE STATE OR NOT.

Makes me want to send a big :finger3: to the arrogant little Napoleon!

He is right. They were just picking people off of the streets of Portland. They should be at the federal building and that is all. They have no right to roam the streets of Portland. We saw the video of them attacking a Navy vet who was just talking to them. He was committing no federal crime.

The pathetic little judge is normally wrong. He is in this case as well. State law enforcement is obligated to provide protection to federal properties within that state. Where the state is unable or unwilling to provide protection federal authority must step in to protect federal properties.

If governors and mayors are acting in concert with seditious agents the federal government has the power to arrest those seditious actors and oversee elections. Think the Civil War and state governors and Mayors.

They were dragging people off of the streets of Portland. I doubt the federal building extends across the city of Portland.

No they were not. They were dragging people off of the streets well beyond the boundaries of the federal building. They have no authority to drag anyone away beyond the boundaries of the federal building.

Meh. I dunno. I think better if you turn your idiot box off and read the founding documents. As was mentioned, it's a very good guide in understanding the proper role of government.

Yes they do. There is no such thing as throwing fireworks then running down the street laughing that you got away. Federal authorities can pursue felons that have vandalized federal property.

I used to have the highest respect for the Judge but the guy has done a total flipflop in recent years. That said, there is SOME merit to what he says, generally the fed is either invited/asked in for matters out of local control or the local authority notified as a kind gesture of their being there, but if totally true as the judge says, then the FBI also couldn't come to your house to pursue an investigation without the approval of the governor first and that is just plain silly.

Wrong, dumbass. They don't get to deface federal property and then run across the street and say nanner nanner boo boo you can't get me.

Doesn't work that way you stupid fuck.

The big money folks who are orchestrating these manufactured riots are probably laughing their rear ends off.

They're probably sitting around their cigar meeting laughing right this minute and saying to each other .''..ahhh ha ha hah...and then the electorate asked for the strictly limited federal republic to over ride the authority of the state republics...ah ha hah ha...''

speaking of the rule of law, Trump said he didn't appoint Chris Christie as AG because "he would prosecute my kids"

Nowhere does it say that they can enforce state or local laws. One video shows that officers ask someone what he is doing. Then they drag him into the van. They were nowhere near the federal building. Clearly he was not near the federal building nor where they looking for him. His rights were violated as they had no probable cause. The Navy vet committed no crime yet he was assaulted by these jack booted thugs.
