Kerry: Putin is going to lose

Putin blows $50 billion dollars on the Olympics, and now he has lost Ukraine.

And he compounded his disaster by invading the Crimea.

SoS Kerry is going to Kiev on Tuesday. Now that's ballsie. Talk about jamming your foot in the damn door.

What if Putin doesn't let him off the plane, or even land?

That's what makes it so ballsie. It's a, "I dare you."
Meh.

If Lurch is allowed to land and debark, the Russians will escort him around to very carefully staged areas, to show him dancing children and rivers of chocolate fudge.

It's the Soviet way.

We've been in Afghanistan for 13 years now and it is still a shit hole. Finding and killing those responsible for 9/11 would have been great, could have done without the nation building though. Iraq was neutered on the world stage before we invaded in 2013.
2013? I think we've been in Afghanistan too long as a fighting force. We should have just left them a note and said we'd be happy to come back and rearrange the rubble anytime.

He's going to get used. Just like McCain rushing to the Ukraine to dine with the *cough* opposition got used for the photo op.

This opposition is made up of a very interesting crew. This political party in particular should have set off warning bells for the west. I've been following this intently and for the life of me I do not understand supporting fascists.

Doesn't anyone at the freaking State Department have google?

Svoboda also assails nonwhites.

In February, Yuriy Syrotiuk, a Svoboda spokesman, expressed his unhappiness that Gaitana-Lurdes Essami, a half-Ukrainian, half-Congolese singer, represented Ukraine in the Eurovision music contest, citing that she “is not an organic representative of the Ukrainian culture.”

Moreover, Svoboda expresses extreme hostility towards homosexuals – party members once attacked and sprayed tear gas at the participants of a gay rights rally in the capital Kiev.

Dumbya ruined any leverage we had in world politics.

The youthful Obama studied and idolized the Communists everywhere and now he must be proud to have made Kruschev's prediction come true.:

This week's news is a reminder that no story has gotten more attention over the last half-century than America's relationship with Russia. In fact, it was that story that produced "Face the Nation"'s biggest and most controversial scoop.

It was June 2, 1957, and "Face the Nation" was going to make history. After two years of dead-end negotiations, producers had managed to book the very first television interview with Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev.

Most of his answers proved unremarkable. But what made front pages around the world was the simple fact that Khrushchev, who had never been seen doing an interview by his own people, had been seen and heard in America's living rooms.

"I can prophesize that your grandchildren in America will live under socialism," he said, wagging a finger.

Little did the bald headed Communist dream that his prediction would be materialized by the son of one of his African Communist rebels.

Russian troops were welcomed with open arms. They know the true history of the radicals who took over Kiev.

I am not talking about Crimea.

Economic sanctions will cripple Russia.

Putin has stepped into shit.

If Putin had recently enabled a coup in Mexico City, how would you expect Obama to react?

Putin could win this situation if he could get a negotiated right to Crimea.

But I don't believe that will ever happen.

Go Kerry... kick Putin's ass all the way back to Siberia.

Kerry declared Putin will come out of this ordeal the loser. “He’s going to lose on the international stage, Russia is going to lose, the Russian people are going to lose, and he’s going to lose all of the glow that came out of the Olympics, his $60 billion extravaganza.”

--------------------------------------

Putin scares me a little.

But, our team? They terrify me.

Foreign policy-wise Obama is a fool, Hillary Clinton is a particular fool for that reset button, Kerry is an arrogant fool who looks like Herman Munster. Susan Rice is lair and a fool. Clapper graduated from mere liar. He's a perjurer.

Obama is everybody's bitch. Syrians? He's their bitch. Ayatollahs? Obama is their bitch.

And he is Putin's special little bitch.

Why wouldn't Putin grab as much of Eastern Europe as he can while he's got the President of the USA already bent over and supplying his own Vaseline?

No. Just like Obama had to back off Syria when it was discovered that the rebels were actually paid mercenaries and had ties with AQ, wait till it becomes widely known that the individuals who performed this coup are serious fascists I think Western leaders will be shamed into backing down.

We're talking political parties that are into only "ethnic" Ukrainians; anti gay; racist; you name it.

In all honesty, I don't believe Putin will go any further. He did have to go to Crimea to protect all the Russians there.

Russians have a serious naval installation there.

The Crimean Russians have made noises about rejoining Russia from time to time.

Since pro-western activists forced Yanukovych from office those demands have reached an almost hysterical pitch.

About 6,000 Russian sailors and marines are based in and near Sevastopol with the Black Sea Fleet as the result of agreements signed with Ukraine when the Soviet Union broke up.

Impose any kind of economic sanction on Russia and Putin will turn off the gas valves that feed Western Europe a whole lot of their heating and power plant fuel. Then we'll see who gets hurt.

Here's an odd fact.....

There are still vacuum tubes in some critical systems in stuff like aircraft movement controls and radar. There is virtually no U.S. production and hasn't been for decades. Most vacuum tubes for replacement/repair come from, guess where.....

www.thetubestore.com - Sovtek Audio Tubes

Next largest supplier?

www.thetubestore.com - Standard Shuguang Vacuum Tubes

Another oddity:

Russian and Chinese built aircraft electronics still use vacuum tubes in vast numbers. Not because they're outdated. Because the solid-state devices that have replaced tubes in American and European avionics are easily fried by electro-magnetic pulses of the sort resulting from a high-altitude nuclear explosion.

Would not be necessary to hit an American city with a huke to wreak havoc. A high altitude air-burst would cripple a wide area. Especially your cell phone.

But Russia has not gone that far yet. It is one thing to draw the red line, it is another to stand on it.
