Actually, you guys believe it. I was talking to my republican buddy at the dog park. He truly believes Trump cares about America but Biden doesn't. Talk about having it backward.

I was explaining how, for example, whatever Biden/Democrats do, Republicans MUST take the opposite. I brought up Ukraine. I said Chris Christie supports Ukraine and said "as the greatest country on earth we can deal with our debt and Ukraine"

In other words if a Republican were president, we'd be supporting Ukraine right now too same as Biden is doing. But Republicans play politics with everything. If the stock market is up, they'll ask what about the debt. If we are in the White House and we support Canada vs N. Korea, Republicans will certainly take North Korea's side. It's fucked up.

I hope no one is buying it.

They're expensive because seniors need care, many 24/7/365, and quality care is expensive. Nurses need to be paid well, then there are food costs, doctor visits, security. These things cost more for seniors because they can't do most of them for themselves. There is a better way, but not one that Americans won't embrace it any more. That is for the children to take care of their parents as the parents age. That's the way it's been done worldwide for millennia, and it's only been since about WWII that Americans have shipped their parents off for someone else to take care of.

So...how many of YOUR grandparents are you caring for? How many of those have serious medical conditions and require 24-hour care by trained medical personnel?

All of my grandparents passed away some time ago, not that it matters to your little rant.

My Dad has everything already set up for him and Mom, who has Alzheimer's. They both know, however, that my brothers and I will be there when and if they need care they can't afford. It's what family does, not that you'd know.

So we listen to irrelevant ideological nonsense, which is all from the Kennedy and Bush-type dynasties. Anyone born with a silver spoon in his mouth will always speak with a forked tongue. Inherited money talks, and that's all we hear.

You make a good point. Consider how things in America are done now. Where 95% of the top managers at every company are white males. And USMB Republicans are telling us it's all white men because we are the best.

Now you admit that most of those white men who went to the Ivy league schools who then rose up to become the CEO's of our Fortune 500 companies come from rich families. That's how it usually works. It's not what you know it's who you know. And there is a good old boys network.

I find it hard to believe that diversifying will result in lower corporate profits. I refuse to believe in a country as diverse as ours that we are better off letting white men control 95% of our corporations.

And USMB white men think they benefit from this good old boys thing but they don't because they weren't born into rich families.

I know rich kids. My nephews are rich but not compared to some of their classmates. Those kids are going off to Harvard, Yale, Duke, University of Michigan and they will be put on a fast track to upper management. Sure a nobody can become a CEO of a fortune 500 company too but look where most of them went to school.

None there. My parents are fully aware that we will take care of them should they need us. THEY planned for the rest home. Dad provided free medical services to it for decades to ensure they had it if they needed it. Not my problem if you can't understand that.
