the law states that he can be put to death for his capital crime....he recieved that sentence.....i think it is cruel and unusual to let him live for eight more years....he is entitled to a speedy trial and swift justice....

What you want is revenge justice. The Justice System is not suppose to be used for revenge. You are using emotion to make judgments which is very dangerous.

I'm not convinced that we should be sentencing 17 year olds to death.

I don't know the case so I'm not gonna say definitely one way or the other but it does seem to me, from what I've read, that this is not a sentence I would support. I support the use of the DP - in certain circumstances - mainly where the crime was so heinous, murder of children, LEOs, but it seems overly harsh to me to convict a 17 year old to death.

Sounds like Justice to me. Isn't it just so easy to claim later you are a changed person? He committed the crime. He was properly tried and sentenced in a Court of law. He was given his appeals and lost.

I do believe he was questioning whether the Death Penalty itself truly was justice.

Actually unlike you I have given the same sentiment regarding this 17 year old and the one Huckabee gave freedom to go out and kill cops too, but my my my your song sure has changed regarding age and second chances in this case since Huckabee's not involved.
