Laws Regarding Classified Documents

Oh, wait a minute. Now this is interesting. Lawmakers now want to pass laws regarding classified documents because current laws are "vague and toothless".

"While the Department of Justice and President Trump’s lawyers battle in Florida courtrooms over how the former president handled records from his White House, a group of advocates and members of Congress is working to fix the obscure 1970s law they say let the behavior go unchecked.

Critics say the “outdated, vague and toothless,” law needs to change"

So, once again, they are going after Trump over VAGUE AND TOOTHLESS laws currently on the books. Translation: They can't indict Trump over vague and toothless laws but Biden's "Independent" DOJ wants to put him through the ringer anyway for political purposes, just before the midterms. Kind of reminds you of Congress wanting to pass fixes to the Electoral Vote Act because that law was also vaguely worded.

We already have laws on handling Classified Documents

It is just the laws on Presidential records that are vague

Hillary had a private server in her home, which had ALL of the classified documents on it, not just some, as in Trump's case.
Wrong again. Nothing illegal about her email set up. No classified documents were found. If there were there is ample precedent to have charged her. The classified information was embedded within several e-mail chains.

When is Obama going to turn over the documents he took from the White House? If they pass these new laws, are they going to enforce them on Democrat Presidents or Just Republicans?

I think we already know the answer to that question.

No one raided Obama's Panty Drawer to take his Presidential Records.

When Trump tweeted classified information in 2019, the New York Times filed an FOIA request with the CIA to turn over records of the classified program to arm Syrian rebels since Trump had inadvertently revealed that classified information.

The case went to court, and the court said quite plainly:

Moreover, the Times cites no authority that stands for the proposition that the President can inadvertently declassify information and we are aware of none. Because declassification, even by the President, must follow established procedures, that argument fails.

A President, not even Dear Leader Trump, cannot just wave his hands, chant abracadabra, and magically declassify documents.

The NYT?! Are you serious. The nyt is a liberal rag hack. They continually pump out propaganda and lies. Next time, get a credible source. They were silent when clinton was trafficking classfied documents over her private email server.

On August 30, 2019, Trump tweeted a reportedly classified image of recent damage to Iran's Imam Khomeini Spaceport that supposedly occurred as a result of an explosion during testing of a Safir SLV. Multiple concerns were raised regarding the public release of what appeared to be a surveillance photo with exceptionally high resolution, revealing highly classified U.S. surveillance capabilities.[78] Within hours of the tweet, amateur satellite trackers had determined the photograph came from National Reconnaissance Office spy satellite USA-224.[79] Before Trump's tweet, the only confirmed photographs from a KH-11 satellite were leaked in 1984 by a U.S. Navy analyst who went to prison for espionage.[79] Trump defended the tweet by saying he had "the absolute right" to release the photo.[80]

You really are an idiot. The case was about the New York Times FOIA request, you dumb fuck. Trump tweeted classified information and the NYT then asked the CIA for documents related to the tweet since they felt that information was compromised by Trump.

I cited the ACTUAL COURT RULING.

Jesus, you kneejerk idiots consistently make fools of yourselves in public.

Do try to catch up, moron.

Yeah see, "When the president does it, that means it is not illegal,"

The New-GOP knows that fact!

Yes, a president can declassify any document. He can't disseminate that information though if it pertains to national security.

You're pitiful. The law applies to every President, even the one you hate. You just can't accept that, can you. You're arrogant and immature.

Oh, that's right. I remember now when Obama's DOJ let Hillary off, even though she had a private server in her basement which accessed ALL classified documents and was found to have been extremely careless in handling classified info.

Yes, a president can declassify any document. He can't disseminate that information though if it pertains to national security.
If he declassified it, then it must be released when requested through FOIA.

That’s what declassification means.

Any damage to national security as a result is on him.

She had a private server in her basement, which had access to ALL classified documents. ALL of them. They ruled she was extremely careless in handling classified information. Oh, that's right you said she didn't have any classified information. So, how could she be extremely careless with it if she didn't have any?

The didn't sniff through Michelle's panties either.

There is a procedure for that process, retard. He can't just magically wave his hands and declare them declassified.

You need to read the topic before making more a fool of yourself.

Trump is lying right to your dumb submissive cuck faces.
