The fundamental difference between financial backers of Biden and those of Trump is, if Biden had been found liable for what is defined in NY as sexual assault but universally understood as rape, had he been found liable in an elaborate, decades long tax fraud scheme, found guilty of 34 felony counts in what is essentially an election fraud case involving an adulterous sexual affair with a maker of pornographic films, if his children had been ordered by the court to attend classes in how not to facilitate their father's theft of money donated for charitable purposes, if he had 3 outstanding criminal indictments including one for trying to end the constitutional order of the US by installing himself as its un-elected leader, well..........you get the picture.........Joe would not be the recipient of millions in campaign donations because he would not be the Dem's nominee. The kind of peculiar behavior allowing for an entire party to ignore those aforementioned disqualifying characteristics is not found among Dems.

The Following's reflexive, emphatic reply will no doubt be along the lines of but, but, but, Big Guy, but he touched a little girl's head once, but he eats babies, but Hillary!, but he's a pedo. As I do not reside in the Twilight Zone where unfounded accusations are magically elevated to fact you'll pardon me for seeing the desperation of those claims. Hatched out of necessity because supporting an immoral, incompetent, criminal requires the kind of rationalization causing his opponent to be similarly tarnished.
I can think of no parallel in US history for a fundraising boon like Trump's resulting from a criminal conviction. I'm sure I don't have to explain why. Politicians with Trump's resume aren't politicians for long. They're typically societal pariahs with a very small wardrobe consisting of a couple of jump suits.

Trump reaps post-verdict financial windfall
The former president has lagged behind Joe Biden in campaign fundraising, but his supporters provided a big jolt after his guilty verdict in New York.
