I hope you feel the same way for all of those tax dollars that go to all of the religious charity organizations as well. Especially considering that is what keeps them propped up.

My money is already there in the form of federal taxes.
Poor people have too much. Rich people don't have enough. It's more important to cut funding for the poor, the elderly, the homeless. It is equally important to grant tax cuts to the wealthy.Trump's budget cuts grants for medical research.Better than feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, clothing the naked, researching cures for diseases? What possibly could be greater than those things?Where's the nobility in cutting such funding? Does it make America great again?
Yes it does; cutting funding to use the money for better things does make America great again.
So who is cutting funding for research? I see how we are "feeding the hungry" quite a bit when I go grocery shopping. Yes, we do feed the hungry, and then "the hungry" load the belt with cigarettes, alcohol, flowers, greeting cards, huge bags of dog food, cat food and cat litter. They and their four kids wheel the shopping cart to their late model SUV and load the ten bags inside.
And if all decisions were made based on anecdotal evidence rather than researched facts, we would still be using rum as an anesthetic.

False dichotomy. No says they hate or anyone else needs to hate meals on wheels or any charity. Only that the federal government is a government of limited jurisdiction. Designed specifically that way so that they have limited function in our lives. At no point has the federal government been given authority to give tax money to charity.
Charitable giving is a power reserved to the people and to some degree the states who have general governing powers.
Hate doesn't enter the equation.

The elderly are more than able to take care of themselves and Trump as POTUS as every other POTUS before him is transported at taxpayer expense.
Its the State taxpayers that should be taking care of their elderly if they need taking care of and not the Federal Govt fed taxes.
Meals on Wheels is a practical solution to a problem. It saves huge amounts of taxpayer funds by allowing seniors and the disabled to live at home for a small amount of funding instead of being institutionalized at a huge amount of funding. There is no way to defend cutting the federal grants to Meals on Wheels while spending the same money every time Trump goes to Florida golfing.
$3 million can either provide the continued federal support of a national program for our seniors and shut-ins, or it can pay for 1 weekend of golf for Trump.
