He should have picked up the phone. Hillary Clinton should have been dancing on the head of whomever was in charge of getting a military response to the attack.
What does this have to do with Chuck Hagel? Nada.
Hagel is perhaps the WORST candidate for the job.
Should Graham place a "hold" on Hagel's confirmation? Yes, until ALL of the facts are on the table, for the sake of the country YES.

Look, y'all. Here's the deal with the GOP's rhetoric about Chuck Hagel and Graham's threat to block his nomination:

Hagel represents a real and direct threat to the military-industrial complex which has grown rich off Defense Department contracts and have basically set our military policy for decades. Obama has promised to address DOD procurement and the revolving door which moves retiring generals into defense industries. Chuck Hagel is the man he's picked to begin cleaning up that sewer and pulling in the reins on a process which has cost us billions and delivered an armed forces which cannot win wars anymore.

Since Hagel could actually break the chains which bind DOD and the defense industry, it's natural that Neo-Conservative stalwarts like Graham would be scared shitless. After all, two of the largest contributors over the years to Graham's campaigns and his PAC have been Boeign and the Flour Corporation, both big-time players in the military-industrial complex.

Graham's threat has nothing to do with national security, Benghazi or anything other than carrying the water for his supporters who might see their direct pipeline to the treasury threatened by Hagel as SecDef.

There was basically only one investigation of the Bush administration, and it was the intelligence failures of 9/11. That occurred a year later..and it took months for a report to be issued. That report was heavily redacted and amazingly laid some of the blame on the Clinton administration.

There were multiple attacks on embassies during both of Bush's terms, not to mention the illegal invasion of Iraq where President Bush lied in the state of the union about aluminum tubing as well as his administration engaging in multiple real live lies about nuclear weapons, Al Qaeda involvement and a whole lot of other things.

Benghazi was almost immediately investigated. And a report issued.

That's much more then what happened with 9/11.

Oh sure. Lets blame Bush for 9-11 and completely ignore the Clinton FBI.That attack was years in the planning. All under Clintons watch. Hell. His own FBI didn't listen to the warnings from O'Neil. He was forced out because he kept on with his warnings.

Sure Bush was POTUS for eight months and the buck stops at his desk but personally I think Clintons FBI has loads to answer for about 9-11.

You can blame Bush. Me? I'll blame the dirtbags who flew the planes and dirtbags who planned it. I will however, put some blame on the Clinton administration because they, as well as the Bush administration, if he got the warnings from O'neil, did nothing. Of course short of closing the country down on vague warnings, no place or time, there wasn't much either could have done. Perhaps YOU should tell us what they should have done??

Clinton was offered UBL on a Silver Platter from the Sudan and he refused the offer. If he had taken that sorry SOB there might not have been a 9-11. That one act may have made the difference on 9-11.

Well the buck stops at Barry's desk for Benghazi. His State Department fucked up all the way round and went out and lied for two weeks about it.

That embassy should have been closed. Other embassies and the Red Cross pulled out because of the threats. Failing closure Security should have been beefed up. Neither was done and we have four good men dead because of the incompentancy of Barrys State Department. One of them an ambassador. Hillary should get the boot and heads should roll at State. Neither will happen.

In fact nothing will happen. State will roll on its merry way. They will forget all about their failure and four dead men. Hell. Barry had no problem jetting off to his fundraiser in Vegas. I'm sure four dead men mean about as much to him as they do to his oh so incompetant State Department.

Yup. A bunch of winners all the way round.

Let's also not forget that Republicans fought tooth and nail against the 9/11 commission. Cheney was practically apoplectic that it not occur.

There were 8 Embassy attacks under Reagan, one while he was campaigning. He was asked if he should suspend campaigning and said "no".
