Actually, I'm European and from were I'm sitting nobody is happy. We've always relied on the US to lend muscle to it's diplomacy. The US is showing itself now as unreliable when it comes to holding up it's deals past it's election cycles. Quite frankly that has worse implications than a possible trade boom when trading with a single country.

Iran has been constantly at war since the revolution but mostly with irregular troops such has Hezbollah and is presently at war all across the ME in a Sunni-Shia conflict it has resurrected after a long time of relative peace. Everywhere there is a problem or conflict in the ME Iran is in the middle of it, and Iran is presently occupying Lebanon through its proxy, Hezbollah and is occupying large swaths of Syria.

As for giving up its sovereignty, no one is asking it to. Most countries that use nuclear energy outsource the fuel cycle so they lack the capability to produce nuclear weapons and of the smaller number of countries that do enrich uranium all but two, Belgium and Germany, have nuclear weapons. This was the standard for non proliferation until the idiot Obama decided to trash it and it must be restored.
