NATO has broken its promise of being for peace and not being aggressors. NATO has marched east and threatens Russia. NATO is now engaged in a proxy war with Russia over a country not in that alliance.
We didn't attack Russia. Nor are our soldiers fighting Russia. Russia attacked Ukraine. Russia is the aggressor.
We're supporting Ukraine with weapons, training and equipment to defend themselves from Russian aggression.
Why? Because Ukraine isn't Russia's goal anymore than 'de-nazification' is. Poland is. Lithuania is. Estonia is. The western most borders of the former Soviet Union is, where Russia was able to defend itself by creating geographic pinch points.
And those are NATO nations. If they're attacked, we'll defend them.
Here's the problem: Russia.....is inept at waging conventional war. They performed so poorly, embarassed themselves so completely that they scared the SHIT out of NATO leadership.
Why? We'd wipe the floor with them so thoroughly, so easily and so completely........that actual nuclear war would essentially be there only option to balance our ludicrous conventional advantage. By keeping the fight in Ukraine, by making Russia deplete its young men and treasure there, rather in than in NATO countries.....we're preventing that direct confrontation.
Making our support of Ukraine one of the smartest investments this nation and her allies has ever made.
