The media fuels a couple a year from bird flu and pandemics to straight out, we are killing the planet scenario's.

Several mass extinctions and a large asteroid couldn't finish off life on the planet. I seriously doubt humans will either. Whether humans are around or not. The planet will still go on without us and so will a variety of life forms.

Must be exhausting to worry about so much that one doesn't have control over. We can clean up our environment and reduce pollution without ridiculous hyperbole. For all the crying about the environment, I sure still see a lot of trash, litter and debris in urban areas, and perhaps folks should just quit being slobs. That we can control as individuals.
