McDonalds shares tax cut with employees. Evil corporate bastards!

And it has nothing to do with the tightening labor market and the fight to keep employees...you people are such rubes! :21::21::21:

Sooo...your point being? That's how CAPITALISM works and your socialism is a total failure.

My socialism? :21::21::21::21::21: Holy fuck you are stupid. I have the Cons on here telling me I am too far right on economics because I do not want the Govt involved even as much as they do.

It is remarkable how stupid the people on this forum are

I think his point is never give Trump (or any Republican) credit when credit is due.

Trump didn't create a good economy, Obama did that.

Trump is not responsible for bonuses, raises or both to employees because of his tax cuts. Companies are just playing the game to make Trump look good.

Reagan didn't end the cold war. It was coincidence. He just happened to be President at the time.

Kim Dong is not scared of Trump. NK has always wanted meetings with US Presidents.

I can go on and on, but you get the point.

Gee, I thought that's what happened under DumBama! You know, the guy that supposedly created this wonderful economy that Trump fell into. Yet Mc's didn't offer such benefits before. I wonder why?????

McDonalds' tuition assistance programs began in...................................................................2010.

Okay, and they didn't add to it until 2018. Why? I'll tell you why, but it will give you nightmares: TRICKLE DOWN! That's right, Mc's is sharing their wealth; something liberals told us evil rich people never do.
Trickle down? Mcdonalds has fought wage increases. And at one point a cashier job might have required a degree.
Its a waste compared to the $1.5 trillion it will cost us. We could have tuition-free college for everyone for just $70 billion.

We could have a border wall for half that as well, plus it would not be an annual expense, but a one time expense.

.

Come on now, even you cannot be that dumb. Do you think the wall is made out of self-repairing concrete?

Have you ever heard of maintainance cost?

Sure, there wold be maintenance costs, but a very small fraction compared to the price to put one up in the first place.

70 billion a year every year to give free college will rack up some debt in a short period of time. The wall won't do that.

Or we do neither! That is the best solution

You're the one who made the strange comment, not me.

Certainly possible....thank you President Trump.
And thank you Ronald McDonald !

Most leftists indeed. In order to get a boost, you first have to have a job! Now go looking for one. Your pay could be legendary because of Trump, if only you spent less time whining and screeching here making yourself look like a fool, and more time on productive things.

With tax cut, McDonald's adds $150M to employee tuition program

150 million in tuition, triple the previous amount.... that will educate a lot of low level & poor employees.
Say what you will about their food but this is commendable.

Why don’t you post how much tax cut they got.

Will a small % of corporate tax cut help employees? Sure, but if the point of blowing a 1.5 trillion dollar budget hole was to help the workers, then we could have put that money DIRECTLY into their pockets instead of hoping for fractional charity from corporations.

Sigh. . . . Yes, of course. It just can't be that letting companies keep more of their profits causes many of them to do more for their employees. No, that just can't be.

The idea was to take the US out of being the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world and create or keep jobs instead. You are correct, if the idea was to get the worker more money, he would have paid it direct (which he did anyway).

So now most workers have a little more money, the company they work for has a little more money, and some companies like Mc's is sharing their part of the break with their workers. Some companies are not doing that. Some are investing in their operations creating new jobs, or updating their equipment, or whatever else a company believes they need to better their industry.

Wow, so tinkle down economics actually work

Allthough maybe the low level & poor employees would have been happier with a simple pay raise

:coffee:

That's correct. Then they can be low paid employees the rest of their life. Good thinking.

I didn't bother to read the article, but I'm assuming what's in it.

To me it sounds like a bunch of Turbo Tax people who don't understand.

Unfortunately my taxes are too complicated for me to do them myself, so I have a tax preparer. Although I paid this year, she told me I'm going to love filling next year. I'll be in for a windfall thanks to Trump. This is on top of the extra money I'm already getting in my paycheck. This wouldn't be the case if Hil-Liar was our President. I'd probably be paying even more.

Aren't the liberal replies just pathetic? Of course, it can't be that letting companies keep more of their profits will cause some/many of them to improve their employees' pay and benefits. No, no, no. Well, how about the hundreds of billions of dollars that were parked overseas but are not coming back to the U.S.? Can we "explain" that by attributing it to the "tightening job market"?

Libs don't think like that. They believe when government takes less, the big shots just buy yet another yacht.

They can't figure out why DumBama had the slowest recovery of any President since WWII. It was because Obama was the most anti-business President in our lifetime. Businesses felt the had an enemy in the White House. Now they feel like they have a friend in Trump.

Yeah, with asense of humor this stupid to top it, I can see why being successful would be insurmountable. I would give you a 2, maybe 3 on a good day. At least it's understandable why you need feminism. Life would prove to be difficult without all those free abortions.

Now dwell on your misery as the rest of us are taking advantage of the winning streak that is the Trump economy.
