Michael Cohen could and should be disbarred if he violates client privilege

Every lawyer could be considered that Cohen could claim attorney client privilege and thus the fifth as well

#1 Attorney client privilege only covers communications when actually acting as an attorney. It does not cover non-attorney activities. Last month it was reveled of the first 300,000 documents seized from Cohen's electronic devices, only 162 fell into privileged communications.

#2 Attorney client privilege does not cover conspiracy to commit illegal activities like such as campaign-finance law violations, bank fraud, wire fraud, illegal lobbying, etc.

#3 Of course he can take the fifth, but as Trump said about taking the fifth: "“The mob takes the Fifth, If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

A judge outlined exactly what qualifies as privileged in the Michael Cohen case — and almost nothing involves Cohen's work for his clients
Trump comments on Fifth Amendment resurface after Cohen filing

Sorry kiddy, the payment situation between Stormy and Cohen is exactly what lawyers do, so there is absolutely no problem for Cohen here, there might be problems for Trump, but zero for Cohen
Of course there’s a problem there as the money to Clifford was of value to Trump’s campaign and went unreported. That presents the appearance of a violation of campaign finance laws.

That leads to the question of did Trump know what the money was for and Michael Cohen knows the answer to that question.
Trump would not use campaign money that has to be reported to keep silence. That never happened, he did pay for silence from the anal porn star who's Anus can be viewed by anyone now. Unlike Clinton he never raped the slut
Dayam, that is one disjointed post.

But you do admit he paid to silence someone who sought to publicize a purported affair just weeks before his election. Even if you are too brain-dead to conceive this, that is of value to his campaign and is required by campaign finance laws to be reported.

Fortunately for Trump, it matters not what you or I say about his payoff to Clifford — what matters is what Cohen says about it. What did Yrump know and when did he know it?

Funny though, not one news outlet is reporting this including FOX...………………

Cohen can not even mention Trump without being disbarred.
Privilege doesn't apply to criminal behavior.
Might be true, but the stormy payoff was 100 percent legal, and even if they find 100 things Cohen did that was illegal, they had no warrant for those and can not use them.

Silencing a slur with money is not a crime. Her poor acting and fat ass on a porn star are a crime

Ya I wondered that myself
How a lawyer can turn on a client like that without repercussions
Supposedly lawyers are wards of the court

No it wasn't. It was of substantial material value to the tRump campaign.

I really didn’t need more evidence of your ignorance regarding campaign finance laws.

Sorry - If my attorney and I are engaged in felonious activity , then our AC privilege is out the window ..

Donald was correct

Please point anywhere in that post you responded to where I said anything about Trump/Cohen paying a porn start $130,000 in hush money just days before the election for having boinked said porn start while his wife was at home having recently given birth to his son.

The reference to campaign finance laws does not mean that paying the hush money was illegal in and of itself. However such contributions may be a violation of campaign finance laws (still to be seen). Paying the hush money and it possibly being an illegal contribution are two different things.

Interesting though that you focused on one thing missing the major point of the post. 99.964% of the documents seized in the Cohen raid are not covered under client privilege.

Hmmmm...when did you get your law degree? Attorney/client privilege doesn't apply if the attorney was participating in illegal activities with the client.

Funny though, not one news outlet is reporting this including FOX...………………

Cohen can not even mention Trump without being disbarred.

Not exactly. If Cohen was a coconspirator with Trump in illegal activities, he can be compelled to testify.
Ya if trumped screwed the Russians out of some money I can’t wait to hear the left scream foul

Being disbarred is the least of what Cohen is facing.

I don't think John Dean ever practiced law again.

How in the fuck would a dipshit like you have the faintest idea of what Cohen is facing ? Repeating of bullshit that you know nothing about again??

Heck, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out he's looking at serious charges. Cohen played a key role in the partially unverified, partially corroborated but not at all debunked Steele Dossier.

Cohen covered up the accusations that Trump hired hookers to piss on his hotel bed in Moscow? Or are you claiming that Trump and Putin (with Cohen in tow and as a confidante') put their heads together and conspired to steal the election that was already rigged for the Hildebeast just so they could be mean to leftards and deny them their glorious socialist utopia?

That they hacked the DNC server, hacked the Hildebeast's unsecured server and maliciously and with forethought exposed the criminality and corruption of the DNC that included running interference for child traffickers like Laura Silsby that now works for the Amber Alert network? Masterful plan! Insidious and devious! This (snicker) "wrong" be corrected so that all is right with the universe!

Yeah, we know that leftards never LOSE elections...they are always out-cheated of their rightful place in power!
Amazing powers of deduction....everything was there except for the chem-trail connection. The Dems are responsible for them too.

The payoff was 100 percent legal unless Trump used campaign funds. Since he was trying to keep the issue quiet he used his own money thru a lawyer. Lawyers do this every day, really

So paying off a porn star to keep quiet is a felony.

You have the statute for that right

So what is Cohens choice?

Disbarment or a prison term

Which would you choose?
