Chris would like to see people not want to become rich, Chris wants to keep people right where they are finically he wants to kill the American dream. He wants to shatter any dreams of advancement. Shame on you chris

Bullshit.

Why should the idle rich, who don't work, pay taxes at a lower rate than those of us who do work?

You realize that because the idle rich pay taxes at a lower rate than you do, that means you have to pay higher taxes.

Bullshit nothing. Why would anyone try to do better when they know they will be taxed heavily if you get your way? It's best to stay where you are than allow the government to take it away in the form of a tax.

Chris the dream killer way to go.

What a fantasy world you live in.

Most of us pay 25%. Asking the super rich to pay 30% is nothing.

Do you like having to pay higher taxes than the super wealthy?

Yes most of us pay what ever in percentages but most of us don't pay 7.5 million dollars in taxes.
True fucking story

You have to be rich to run for president. We may not like it, but that's just the way it is. In today's dollars, George Washington, was - worth a half a billion dollars. JFK would have inherited one billion. Interesting chart here:

The Net Worth Of The American Presidents: Washington To Obama - 24/7 Wall St.

Unfortunately, the sheep have been told that wealth is evil. It amazes me how many have bought into it.

Wealth isn't evil, chalel.

But EVIL wealth is evil.

Details matter.

Who is "re-writing the narrative"? All wealth is evil says the radical left. One of Bill Ayer's pals:

Occupy Oakland: “Now is the time to spread hate”

The motley crew of communists, criminals and creeps who use the meaningless label “Occupy Oakland” to somehow justify their violence rioted again today for the umpteenth time. In the middle of the melée, self-styled Occupy Oakland spokesperson and former Weather Underground revolutionary Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz gave a speech enunciating the Occupy movement’s new ethos:

The first speaker, Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz, took perhaps the most pointed stance, urging the crowd to fight the rich.

“Passionate, organized hatred is the element missing in all that we do to try to change the world,” said Ortiz, a retired professor from Cal State East Bay. “Now is the time to spread hate, hatred for the rich.”

Any further questions?

I guarantee you that you do not pay 25% of your income in federal income taxes

Our AGI was over 200K last year and we didn't pay 25%.

So stop the whining already.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/jul/08/john-cornyn/john-cornyn-says-51-percent-american-households-pa/

"But right now, the fact (is) that according to the Committee on Joint Taxation, 51 percent -- that is, a majority of American households -- paid no income tax in 2009. Zero. Zip. Nada. … Actually, to show how out of whack things have gotten, 30 percent of American households actually made money from the tax system by way of refundable tax credits -- the Earned Income Tax Credit, among others. So 51 percent of American households paid no income tax in 2009, but 30 percent actually made money under the current system."

And you, like most households that pay taxes, probably paid less than 15%.

He' has been saying the last few post that I have read, we pay more than the super rich he's not clarifying what is being paid. He's just saying paying more. some millionaires have paid 7.5 million dollars, have you ever paid that much?

Obama tax increase: Do wealthy Americans pay more than middle class? | Mail Online

On average, the wealthiest people in America pay a lot more taxes than the middle class or the poor, according to private and government data. They pay at a higher rate, and as a group, they contribute a much larger share of the overall taxes collected by the federal government.

The 10 per cent of households with the highest incomes pay more than half of all federal taxes. They pay more than 70 per cent of federal income taxes, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Yes. And let's be honest. When the left advocates soaking the rich, they don't mean the 1% - they mean the 10%. That's where the REAL money is.

Decimals are confusing in liberal math.

I don't care what he pays, only what I pay. If Mitt paid more in taxes, I certainly would not pay less.

If Romney's CLASS paid a higher percentage of their incomes as taxes, your taxes could come down.

Note that I said "could", right?

I think we both understand that governments tend to spend every cent they get an more, too.

But an equitable system of taxation we definitely do NOT have.

And the fact that we only have 3 levels of taxation is largely the problem.

We ought to have about 10 rates beyond the current highest cutoff rate.

It is not at all equitable that the merely affluent are taxed at the same rate as the preposterously wealthy.

A man making million a year ought NOT to be paying at the same rate as a man making 10, or 100 or 1,000 million dollars a year.

Its not the welfare people who are screwing the affluent class, kiddies.

It's their bosses (our MASTERS) whose taxes they're paying unjustly.

And worse...the longer we keep this unjust taxrate system in place, the worse that burden on the merely affluent will become.

Why?

Because the more the stupendously wealthy make, they more of their incomes they can shield from taxation through inveting, PLUS as they unvest more they gain a greater and greater percentage of the nations ABILITY to create still more wealth.

You people who imagine that simplistic notion that income inequity doesn't matter at all, aren't thinking about the longer run implications of that inequity.

Income inequity matters because in the long run?

MONEY BEGATS STILL MORE MONEY.

Nothing succeeds in capitalism like success.

It takes money to make money.

I don't how else to explain it.

If you don't understand what the above means, then you don't understand capitalism as well as you think you do -- not even if you are such a fine capitalist that you yourself are a self made billionaire.

But frankly, I doubt anybody here is the self-made men they calim to be

Many of you are, far as I can tell, are former military who worked your entire lives protected from the true effects of dog-eat-dog capitalism by FEDERAL socialism.

Some of you are scions who don't know jackshit except you don't want anything to change (cant blame you really for that).

Some of you actually have made a good life on your own (good for you !)

And some of you are just hard working stiffs who are getting screwed just like most working class Americans.
