I have no fear because eventually people will figure out that left wing media outlets are seriously distorting the unemployment numbers in this country. When it becomes obvious that young people can't get jobs and people in there 20s can't find meaningful work then people may begin to figure it out. I fear it will take a generation or two because eventuall these stay at home kids will have kids of their own will have stay at home grand kids. Poor grandpa and grandpa can't afford to take care of them both.
There is one interesting fact and that is more and more articles have the phrase in this day and age it is not uncommon for 20 somethings to live at home with mom and dad. When the fuck did that ever become true in any part of the world for any generation?
Weird, lowest sustained tax "burden" on the job creators since 1932, and they aren't creating jobs? Even if their EFFECTIVE Corp tax rates are lowest in 40 years, WHILE for the first time EVER labor costs are less than half of their costs? Weird right?
I think this is the first time I've seen a democrat actually admit that the job market is extremely poor. It only took seven years....
REALLY? that's what you got out of it? Weird, I thought Dubya/GOP tax cuts were going to show how supply side worked Bubs? What happened? Oh right the biggest downturn since the first GOP great depression. Oops, yep the GOP digs WIDE and deep holes. Good thing Obama has presided over 12+ million jobs created since ending Dubya's recession. Over 9 million NET jobs since Obama came in, after Dubya/GOP policies lost over 1+ million in 8 years? lol
Yo, Government don`t create private sector jobs, only jobs in Government? Another words, Obama makes Government Bigger, so in turn the Socialist takes more of our money, and controlling the People by making more Regulations!!! So you can`t say Obama created millions of jobs! I do give him credit(fault) for all of the part-time jobs, only because of the train wreck called Obama-Care!!!

Weird you left out that entire 8 years of Dubya/GOP policy that was PROMISED to have "job creators" cutting loose and booming the economy, what happened Bubs? Dubya LOST over 1+ million PRIVATE sector jobs in 8 years?

Here's What Obama's 'Part-Time America' Really Looks Like
The president's critics love this talking point. But since 2010, full-time jobs are up 7.6 million, and part-time jobs have declined by more than 900,000.

The Spectacular Myth of Obama's Part-Time America
The first thing you would expect to see from a Part-Time America is that the number of part-time jobs added would rival the number of full-time jobs added. But in the last year, new full-time jobs outnumbered part-time jobs by 1.8 million to 8,000. For every new part-time job, we're creating 225 full-time positions.

Okay, but one year is just one year! Let's keep looking.
The second thing we should expect to see from Part-Time America is a growing number of part-time jobs since Obama came into office and started passing laws. Here's a graph showing the number of people working part-time for economic reasons since March 2010, the month Obamacare was passed.
![Screen%20Shot%202014-02-07%20at%2010.08.02%20AM.png](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn.theatlantic.com%2Fassets%2Fmedia%2Fimg%2Fposts%2FScreen%2520Shot%25202014-02-07%2520at%252010.08.02%2520AM.png&hash=791d8244cfc6b2cd51730074a43dca18)
Huh, nothing there. In fact, the number part-time workers has fallen in the last four years.
Okay, well, raw numbers can be deceiving. After all, the labor force has declined since 2010. So let's graph these part-time workers as a share of the labor force. Surely that will show a rising line...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn.theatlantic.com%2Fassets%2Fmedia%2Fimg%2Fposts%2FScreen%2520Shot%25202014-02-07%2520at%252010.08.56%2520AM.png&hash=bcd56220c58d093dc11993333e788037)
.. dang it.
Maybe I'm being unfair. Three years of data just isn't much context. So let's draw back the lens and look at part-time workers as a share of the labor force since, say, 1980...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn.theatlantic.com%2Fassets%2Fmedia%2Fimg%2Fposts%2FScreen%2520Shot%25202014-02-07%2520at%252010.10.04%2520AM.png&hash=f75bc1fad23e52dd56c604c9b964073e)
.. and then compare it to the unemployment rate (in RED) since 1980.

Okay, now here's something: Part-time work, as a share of the economy, is historically high. But these graphs don't make the point that Obama, or long-term global economic trends, are driving the rise in non-voluntary part-time work. Instead, the rise of part-time work seem to be 100 percent the creation of economic downturns. That's why it seems to be holding hands with unemployment, riding the roller coaster up during recessions, and down during recoveries.
