More good News !Two anti gun Co libs recalled

So the gun whacks picked the two weakest politicians they could find and dumped a truckload of money on them...

Not as much money as Bloomberg dumped on them, but we'll just overlook that...

Not that the sensible laws passed after the Holmes Massacre will be overturned. No politician wants to own the next James Holmes

Of course, those laws would NOT have stopped Holmes, but we'll just overlook that too...

:cuckoo:

Actually, Holmes would not have been able to buy a 100 round magazine, and he would have undergone a background check under these laws.

Of course, much simpler solution.

When a Holmes or a Cho or a Lanza kills a bunch of people,

then you allow their families to sue the gun store and the gun manufacturer for damages.

Betcha once that happens, they will make DAMNED sure those guns don't end up in the wrong hands.

Colorado's recall elections to unseat two Democrat state senators who had voted for increased gun restrictions, were successful on Tuesday. State Senate President John Morse and state Sen. Angela Giron, both Democrats who had voted for Colorado's new restrictions on law-abiding people owning guns, were removed from office by the statewide vote on Sept. 10.

Democrat officials appear enraged over the people's response to their actions. DNC chairman Debbie Wasserperson Schultz (who is not a Colorado citizen) is shouting out all the usual accusations, ranging from "voter suppression" to "Koch brothers" to vast right-wing conspiracies. And she includes the usual amount of evidence to back up her claims: None.

On July 1, 2013, new laws in Colorado went into effect, limiting magazines to 15 cartridges and requiring universal background checks. The laws had been passed during the hysteria over the Aurora theater shootings. Little mention was ever made that none of the laws would have stopped those shootings, or had any effect on lawbreakers. They only restricted people who obeyed laws - a characteristic not common among mass murderers such as the theater shooter.

Top Dem: Colorado losses due to 'voter suppression, pure and simple'

Successful recall elections Tuesday of two Democratic state senators in Colorado were because of “voter suppression, pure and simple,” Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said Wednesday.

Wasserman Schultz blamed lawsuits filed by opponents of gun control to prevent voters from mailing in ballots, the late announcement of polling locations, and “efforts by the NRA, the Koch brothers and other right wing groups who know that when more people vote, Democrats win.”

“The recall elections in Colorado were defined by the vast array of obstacles that special interests threw in the way of voters for the purpose of reversing the will of the legislature and the people,” Wasserman Schultz, a Democratic lawmaker from Florida, said in a statement. “This was voter suppression, pure and simple.”

The recall effort in Colorado was backed by the National Rifle Association, which faulted the two Democrats for supporting gun control measures the group said lessened Second Amendment rights. “This effort was driven by concerned citizens, who made phone calls, knocked on doors, and worked diligently to turn voters out in this historic effort,” the NRA said in a statement after the defeat of Colorado state Senate President John Morse and state Sen. Angela Giron.

The pro gun crown is more than just a pro gun crowd. They are a pro rights crowd. The problem here is the anti gun fanatics started to believe their own spin that the pro gun group was nothing more then a bunch of redneck yahoos and neo nazis. They failed to realize they are true Ameicans to the core. And they are tired of the lies and trampling of thier rights. Now they are fighting back and they will win. Because they do have the numbers and do have the votes. Remember to send Andrew Cuomo the same message in NY

Guess shit for brains forgot he was in Colorado. A western State where I'd bet just about everyone owns a gun.

He also didn't figure his constituents would say anything.

He was oh so wrong. They voted his ass right the hell out of office.

They were not amused.

Yet the law still stands. Whatcha gonna do about that?

Yes, gun control is a losing issue. And when another bunch of children die for the right of the gunnuts to own military grade weapons that are of no legal use, they will once again defend the right of the insane to own such weapons. Just as today they defend the right of parents to kill their children by carelessly leaving loaded guns where children can get them.

If only they were fetuses. THEN, they would have value to the R.

Colorado is becoming another bastion for the ignorant and backward. I was born there and spent much of my life there. Back when I first got interested in politics, it was a very progressive, pro-America state. We're seeing that changing.

if only fetuses were allowed to live out the lives they were given

The replacements will move to repeal, as a contingent in Colorado is already doing.

What I love is this, from the Denver Post;

{Recall opponents, floating on oceans of money funneled into the recall contests by billionaire New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, outspent recall backers by a whopping 7 to 1 margin.

The fact that turnout numbers suggest such a competitive race given the anti-recall side’s jaw-dropping financial advantage is frankly, astounding. And the fact that so much of the money comes from out of state – the Denver Post recently reported that Bloomberg and California philanthropist Eli Broad personally stroked six figure checks – suggests that liberal elites from thousands of miles away think they can buy Colorado’s elections.

The two rejected Democrat state senators who were voted out on Tuesday, have been replaced by the people of Colorado, with Republicans.

Ouch! You know that's gotta hurt. Enough of that, and democrats will lose their senate majority.

This should be a lesson to republicans who refuse to vote in some kind of silent protest. Elections have consequences. If you don't want to fight democrats when they nibble in your personal life, don't elect them to begin with.

Watching democrooks get spanked is delightful, even ones in different states.

It's even more satisfying that it was done because of gun control. That should send a message to the bed wetters, that we're done putting up with their facsist bullshit.

Debbie Wasserrman Schulz, aka 'Thunderthighs' really meant to say "When more people vote more times, Democrats win". Yeah, we all know that, they cut the testes off the Democrats vote fraud machine in Colorado this time and the electorate's common sense prevailed. Poor 'Bloomie', his three hundred plus grand cast to the wind like so much flatulance at the DNConvention. Oh well, he's got plenty more where that came from and now he might think twice about reaching out to spread his influence beyond his comfort zone in the Northeast, the land where the anal fornicators roam and the muff diver and the carpet muncher play.

Well, I don't know why they're livid--afterall-- these two districts are predominately democrat districts.

In truth, it was really Democrats that voted to oust their party leaders--over this gun legislation.

An epic national debate over gun rights in Colorado on Tuesday saw two Democratic state senators ousted for their support for stricter laws, a "ready, aim, fired" message intended to stop other politicians for pushing for firearms restrictions. Senate President John Morse and Sen. Angela Giron will be replaced in office with Republican candidates who petitioned onto the recall ballot.

Party insiders always said Giron's race was the harder one. Although her district is heavily Democratic, Pueblo is a blue-collar union town. Morse's district included Manitou Springs and a portion of Colorado Springs — and more liberals.

The commies think this is a local matter, I think they will find they are going to find a major loss of support nationwide come next year. Elections do have consequences and the politicians are seeing stupid policies and laws also have consequences.

I spent some time following the discussion forum of the Denver Post and quit because of the overwhelming liberal slant of the moderators.

That's why these results amaze me. I have a hunch that Colorado media supported the Dems and have to think that word of mouth got out the vote to unseat these two. Perhaps now the media will awaken to the political leanings of Coloradoans and begin to be more unbiased.
