NJ and NY are not seasonally asking for handouts from Hurricanes, Texas is and the fact Cruz denied them that money, the fact it took months for them to get funding, almost a year....and now Cruz, smoochin up to his base in Texas, trying to play I got yo back politician, didn't give a damn about families on the east coast, not one shred of concern, now wants the money earners of the east to once again, pay to get southerners back on their feet.....the same southerners that hate the fuckin gov.

Ever thought if the feds weren't sucking all the resources out of the States they would have them to deal with their own problems? I haven't been able to go anywhere for four days due to flooding, but I don't need a damn thing.

Cruz will be a hypocrite. However, in both Sandy and Katrina (where I live) some of the aid went to longterm improvements to what infrastructure was there before the storms. Some Miss pols voted against Sandy, and they are assholes. It may be more efficient to repair something to a higher level than it was when it was damaged. But essentially, Cruz and the Miss assholes said Sandy relief was "pork" because of that.

Who specifically? I knew about the flood insurance when I bought the home I have. They do similar shit in California after earthquakes. But honestly, you don't know what you even takin about. You still pay into where ever the govt draws the money.
