NO, it's about somebody trying to dictate how to live because they think they know whats best for us.. When they want more money they simply say "we don't have the money for education we need", show some statistics laid out to support their claim, then claim it's for the kids and bingo, they get it. They do not engage in proclaiming societies ownership of children to get more money, that would be shooting themselves in the foot...

This is about putting "us" in our place, letting the people know that they are society and they decide what's what.. The communist manifesto in action...

We put more money per student into our education than every other developed nation and get the worst return on it among developed nations.

Melissa Harris-Perry Responds To Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin

Melissa Harris-Perry penned an in-depth response to her critics on Tuesday, saying that she has "no intention of apologizing" for her ad.

In a blog post, she said that she received "hateful, personal attacks" after conservatives targeted an MSNBC ad in which she said that "kids belong to whole communities." She went on to defend what she called an "uncontroversial comment," and called out her critics.

"Allow me to double down," Harris-Perry began. "I have no intention of apologizing for saying that our children, all of our children, are part of more than our households, they are part of our communities and deserve to have the care, attention, resources, respect and opportunities of those communities."

She wrote that she has "no designs on taking your children," adding, "That is not what I was talking about, and you know it."

Again, the racist, bigoted right, lies and distorts, and then feigns outrage to sway opinions. Irresponsible and reckless.

If you are registered/licensed to have/use firearms, your kids will be taken away for potential endangerment.

so, a couple of days ago, i made the following joke about melissa harris perry's "collective children" video advertisement:

"they'll probably start using this philosophy as a method of gun control lol
'you can't have guns if you have kids, because you're endangering their health and well being!"

not even 24 hours later, my "joke" actually became reality. My friend from commack calls me up and faxes the police response to me! I contacted the blaze again for him and infowars, since newsday refuses to publish the police reports and faxes.

They told him they will not return his confiscated weapons until his son is an adult!

Children aren't slaves, but they are the parent's responsibility way more than any school or teacher.
