Mueller told Barr his memo failed to fully capture "context/nature/substance" of Mueller's probe

“The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this office’s work and conclusions,” Mueller wrote. “There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.”

The letter made a key request: that Barr release the 448-page report’s introductions and executive summaries, and made some initial suggested redactions for doing so, according to Justice Department officials.

Some anecdotal report about a phone call wont cut it, Mueller needs to testify.

The investigation either "charges" someone or they "don't charge". Mueller didn't charge. Period.
The political spin of all the "almost chargeable crap" would be deleted by any judge from the Mueller report.

1. Trump was receptive to a Campaign national security adviser’s (George Papadopoulos) pursuit of a back channel to Putin.

2. Kremlin operatives provided the Campaign a preview of the Russian plan to distribute stolen emails.

3. The Trump Campaign chairman and deputy chairman (Paul Manafort and Rick Gates) knowingly shared internal polling data and information on battleground states with a Russian spy; and the Campaign chairman worked with the Russian spy on a pro-Russia “peace” plan for Ukraine.

4. The Trump Campaign chairman periodically shared internal polling data with the Russian spy with the expectation it would be shared with Putin-linked oligarch, Oleg Deripaska.

5. Trump Campaign chairman Manafort expected Trump’s winning the presidency would mean Deripaska would want to use Manafort to advance Deripaska’s interests in the United States and elsewhere.

6. Trump Tower meeting: (1) On receiving an email offering derogatory information on Clinton coming from a Russian government official, Donald Trump Jr. “appears to have accepted that offer;” (2) members of the Campaign discussed the Trump Tower meeting beforehand; (3) Donald Trump Jr. told the Russians during the meeting that Trump could revisit the issue of the Magnitsky Act if elected.

7. A Trump Campaign official told the Special Counsel he “felt obliged to object” to a GOP Platform change on Ukraine because it contradicted Trump’s wishes; however, the investigation did not establish that Gordon was directed by Trump.

8. Russian military hackers may have followed Trump’s July 27, 2016 public statement “Russia if you’re listening …” within hours by targeting Clinton’s personal office for the first time.

9. Trump requested campaign affiliates to get Clinton’s emails, which resulted in an individual apparently acting in coordination with the Campaign claiming to have successfully contacted Russian hackers.

10. The Trump Campaign—and Trump personally—appeared to have advanced knowledge of future WikiLeaks releases.

11. The Trump Campaign coordinated campaign-related public communications based on future WikiLeaks releases.

13. During the presidential transition, Jared Kushner and Eric Prince engaged in secret back channel communications with Russian agents. (1) Kushner suggested to the Russian Ambassador that they use a secure communication line from within the Russian Embassy to speak with Russian Generals; and (2) Prince and Kushner’s friend Rick Gerson conducted secret back channel meetings with a Putin agent to develop a plan for U.S.-Russian relations.

14. During the presidential transition, in coordination with other members of the Transition Team, Michael Flynn spoke with the Russian Ambassador to prevent a tit for tat Russian response to the Obama administration’s imposition of sanctions for election interference; the Russians agreed not to retaliate saying they wanted a good relationship with the incoming administration.

Trump was warned during the primaries what the Russians were doing. He was asked to report any offers of assistance in the up coming election.

Like Carlos, Trump needs to answer for that.

Let's fire him in 2020.

B'loney. The Obamanoids did not warn Trump. They spied on and attempted to entrap him.

Per Washington Post. Being reported on CNN. Link below.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III expressed his concerns in a letter to William P. Barr after the attorney general publicized Mueller's principal conclusions. Mueller also pressed Barr in a phone call to release executive summaries of his report.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III wrote a letter in late March complaining to Attorney General William P. Barr that a four-page memo to Congress describing the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s work, according to a copy of the letter reviewed Tuesday by The Washington Post.

At the time the letter was sent on March 27, Barr had announced that Mueller had not found a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russian officials seeking to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Barr also said Mueller had not reached a conclusion about whether Trump had tried to obstruct justice, but Barr reviewed the evidence and found it insufficient to support such a charge.

Days after Barr’s announcement, Mueller wrote a previously unknown private letter to the Justice Department, which revealed a degree of dissatisfaction with the public discussion of Mueller’s work that shocked senior Justice Department officials, according to people familiar with the discussions.

More: Mueller complained to Barr that memo did not capture ‘context’ of probe

Good for Mueller speaking out about his report being twisted by Barr.
Because it’s a summary, Dufus.
We can all read the report ourselves.

When did he spy on Trump?

He started during the 2016 campaign via the FISA warrants on members of his campaign. The Horowitz and Barr investigations are going to be explosive.
Are you speaking only about the FISA warrant on Carter Page, which began AFTER Carter left the campaign, 3 weeks before the election?

Was there any one under FISA warrant surveillance in the campaign, during the Campaign?

Also, to me... 'spying' is when someone is illegally wiretapping someone... No court approval.

NOT when investigators get a surveillance WARRANT approved by a Judge in a court of Law?

What is your definition of spying?

The spying is linke to the hundreds of people unmasked by Obama's admin. The Horowitz and Barr investigations will put sunlight on the horrible corruption of Obama and his henchthugs.
The problem is, that the rules and policy allowed it to be done for the key people in administrations involved with Security.

that unmasking is done in a secure SCIF for the Admin person requesting only.

From my understanding, that is how it was done, by the book.

but if Horowitz can find that a rule was broken, then the wrist of the person should be slapped that did it... or the punishment the rules state for the violation of policy should be used.

But if it turns out the rules and regs on it were not broken, but disturbing none the less, or loosey goosey, then Congress should review it and have the regulations or laws modified.

The rules were broken. This is why the Obamanoids have been so desperate to destroy Trump - to keep their crimes covered up.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) has communicated to the Department of Justice its findings on abuse of the FISA system, according to attorney Joe diGenova, who was one of the original lawyers on the FISA court.

There will be grand juries and indictments, according to diGenova, who added, “John Brennan isn’t going to need one lawyer — he’s going to need five.”

“Their chief judge has already determined that for more than four years before the election of Donald Trump, there was an illegal spying operation (yes, spying — and, yes, illegal) going on by four FBI contractors to break the law to steal personal electronic information about American citizens and to use it against the Republican Party,” former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee wrote on his website on April 25.

Report: FISA court has investigated and notified DOJ of findings
how is the FISA COURT and the alleged illegal unmasking on Trump people, tied together?

There have been FISA abuses years back, and this was addressed already or maybe is in the process of being addressed.... nothing to do with Trump or not done specifically for Trump people....

there have been threads on this reported in the news the past few years on this site....

How in the world would Huckabee etc. know the confidential and classified information on how the IG investigation is going on this or the FISA court investigation? Seriously?

It's all part of the same process to spy on political opponents and to rig the game for the Dems.

Go ahead and take comfort in questioning the sources. It won't do you much good, however, when Horowitz and Barr releases the results of their investigations

Obama team was warned in 2014 about Russian interference

The Obama administration received multiple warnings from national security officials between 2014 and 2016 that the Kremlin was ramping up its intelligence operations and building disinformation networks it could use to disrupt the U.S. political system, according to more than half a dozen current and former officials.
There was no explicit warning of a threat to U.S. elections, but the official said some diplomats and national security officials in Moscow felt the administration was too quick to dismiss the possibility that the Kremlin incursions could reach the United States.

But others in the national security community say an overly cautious Obama White House could have done more both during the campaign and in the previous months and years to alert Russia that it was aware of its intentions to subvert the U.S. democracy — along with those of some other Western countries — and would retaliate forcefully at the first sign of Russian interference.

POLITICO spoke with more than a dozen current and former officials from across the national security spectrum, including intelligence agencies, the State Department and the Pentagon. Almost all said they were aware of Russia’s aggressive cyberespionage and disinformation campaigns — especially after the dramatic Russian attempt to hack Ukrainian elections in 2014 — but felt that either the White House or key agencies were unwilling to act forcefully to counter the Russian actions.

Why????

Hindsight is 20/20? You can't say Obama didn't know about it or claim that it wasn't real. Trumps knowledge of and willingness to use the fruit of the poisoned Russian tree is exposed. He's toast, or should be, unless of course the dems can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, again.

"Ned Price, a former spokesperson for the National Security Council, rejected the idea that the administration failed to heed warnings about Russian interference in the U.S. political system or Russian cyberespionage in general.

“The Obama administration was nothing but proactive in responding to Russian aggression in all of its forms, especially as Moscow became more brazen with and following its military moves against Ukraine beginning in 2014,” Price said, citing sanctions and increased American support to NATO as evidence of the former administration’s seriousness.

But subsequent events — including Russia’s interference in the American election through hacks of the emails of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta, among other intrusions identified by U.S. intelligence — have left many in the former administration wondering whether they could have done more.

“People have criticized us ... for not coming out more forcefully and saying it,” former CIA Director John Brennan said at the Aspen National Forum in July. “There was no playbook for this.”

Hind site is 20/20....

Maybe he thought Americans were smarter and could spot all the propaganda by Russians than they actually were...

Maybe he never envisioned a campaign, any campaign... accepting and praising the Russian interference?

Maybe he took the advice from our Intel who said it was not happening in the USA?

Maybe he didn't expect McConnell to reject notifying the American people about it?

I'm fine with Congress having hearings and trying to find out why more was not done, and primarily, what rules and laws Congress can do to stop it from being done AGAIN to us, in the future!!! From what I hear, the Russians are already geared up and working on Steroids to affect the 2020 election...

Trump has had nearly two and a half years to do something to protect us from this, what has he done and what is he doing about it other than denying or obfuscating that it didn't happen?

Go Mueller!

If that's what you hope is going to happen, you will be disappointed. Mueller is motivated by nothing other than protecting the Constitution and the institutions it creates and sustains, I strongly believe. That includes the office of the president, and also the DoJ, even while he might despise the current office holders. So, he might explain his report in public testimony, but he will not be an attack dog. No way, no how.

He doesn't have to be an attack dog. Him stating the facts will suffice.

Stating the facts will "suffice" to accomplish what, exactly?

He is probably going to convince those who are willing to follow hours of testimony, heavy in legalese, who actually have read the Mueller report, know what it's all about, and are thus equipped to follow the discussion despite the grandstanding divas abusing the occasion for their personal political gains. That is to say, about 0.017% of the population. The rest, if they pay attention at all, will follow their preferred spin meisters.

Now, that's what has you, Nat and Lakhota scream "Go Mueller!" at your screens?

Reportedly, Mueller ripped Barr a new one over Barr's misrepresentation of the context, nature and substance of the Mueller report. Our Trumpletons read everything was fine with Barr's summary of the report. Mueller said so. Oh, and BTW, no collusion, no obstruction, total exoneration. Sure, Mueller's testimony will change that. Radically.

Amazing.

There are more people out there who want the facts than you think.

The line of Obama did nothing is untrue. Trump has known from day one there was an issue and has done nothing.

Just a rabbit trail here.

Then they were the stupidest people ever in an administration...or just willfully ignorant.

So what? Everyone is entitled to their opinion. None of them claim the Administration ignored the threat did they? Should they have alerted the public sooner about their suspicions? Were they naive to think Trump would report any overtures of aid by Russia? Could Trump have already been approached with offers of aid before his campaign was warned about it?

And we repeat, Obama did PLENTY to punish them back in 2014 for what they did and were doing, in the Ukraine Meister... he put several sets of Sanctions on them, that Russia is still trying to get Pres Trump to remove from them, because of the absolute pain it is causing Russia/Putin and his la cosa nostra family. So to Claim the Obama admin sat on their fingers is simply not true.

How could he possibly know that the DNC and Clinton Campaign, and DCCC records would be stolen that happened in early in 2016 and then weaponized through their timed releases, was going to happen, back in 2014 and 2015?

Could our intel agencies been more insightful on Russian deviance...? Probably....imo.

But was it for MALICE on their end to harm the USA and our time honored election process?

NO, of course not...

Seriously?

ALSO
Can you honestly read this site that you linked to and not SEE how skewed and biased and fake the news is or opinion is...?

World Tribune - Media Bias/Fact Check
CNN, MSNBC, NYT, et al. aren't listed there....Fake "fact checking" is fake.

It's all over the internet, and the 12th or 13th paragraph completely contradicts the headline.
No it doesnt. What is wrong with your brain? And who cares if it does...anyone not sitting around whining about "fake news" can get off their fat ass and read the letter for themselves. Mueller clearly expressed himself.

The investigation either "charges" someone or they "don't charge". Mueller didn't charge. Period.
The political spin of all the "almost chargeable crap" would be deleted by any judge from the Mueller report.
Document the evidence, not the suspicions.

B'loney. The Obamanoids did not warn Trump. They spied on and attempted to entrap him.
Trump was warned, the campaign was warned, and told about the Russians interfering in our election and were asked to let them know if they were contacted by Russians... THEY DID NOT do that, from what I have read about it...they all kept silent and then later lied and denied any contacts with Russians.

Was the Trump campaign warned that they were under a counter intelligence investigation from all of their contacts with all of these Russians interfering.... OF COURSE NOT.... no investigator would tell that to the entity they are gathering counter intelligence on.... for goodness sake.

Thanks for mentioning your source in the beginning. It saved me from wasting anymore time to read your post as you disqualified it in the beginning.

BTW did they mention that Barr gave Muller the opportunity to comment BEFORE he released it but Muller chose not to comment further before the release?
