Nope, loozers, you made a claim, and now you have to support it or melt. So let's dance.

Now answer this.' No one is answering the question, "Do you think that sign's message encompasses the belief and value system of American Muslims?"

It does not until you all can provide some evidence for it.

the jokester making demands? what a pawn he is.

Mr. P'wn comes here to get his ass kicked, and we all enjoy kicking bigreb.

bigreb, they made a claim. They have offered no evidence. Now you can play as well.

You're the loser in red on the right? OK, learn something new everyday. Now here is the next question, bigrebbyrd: "Do you think that sign's message encompasses the belief and value system of American Muslims?"

This is the nation muslims belong to

Ummah (Arabic: أمة‎) is an Arabic word meaning "community" or "nation". It is commonly used to mean either the collective nation of states, or (in the context of pan-Arabism) the whole Arab world. In the context of Islam, the word ummah is used to mean the diaspora or "Community of the Believers" (ummat al-mu'minin), and thus the whole Muslim world.

They have a choice. I hear that the Sauds will put you in prison if you have a version other than the Wahhabi version.

Wrong fucking answer Dipshit Constipated..........

Mohammed was illiterate, and died BEFORE the Koran was written.

It was revealed to one person, taken to memory by several, passed on by word of mouth, changed a few times, edited a little here and there, and finally became written down, having been edited after it was originally recorded. The "author" if author is the one considered to have conceived the work originally, was one man. Those who interpreted and kept it in memory were many.

Please show us what the Qur'an looked like before it was "changed."

It was round and on a roll with all the pages attached end to end.

The Quran is no more a literal work than is the Bible. (Let me add, "I believe").

You just described the Torah; not the Quran. :doubt:

It's impossible to know.

So you assert that the Qur'an was changed and edited, but you can't point to concrete evidence of an "alternative Qur'an" which differed in substance from that with which we're familiar?

Muslims wouldn't burn the koran, they use the pages to wipe their ass.

Hypertext Qur'an

"The Qur'an (also known as the Koran) is the primary sacred text of Islam. Devout Muslims believe that only an Arabic version of this text is the actual Qur'an, so please be aware of this. This page links together a number of versions of the Qur'an: the text in Unicode, the text in Arabic using embedded gifs with the Yusuf Ali translation, the Yusuf Ali in a standalone English version, the 1880 Palmer English version, the 1876 Rodwell version, and the more recent Pickthall English version. The books of the Qur'an (or Surahs, in Arabic) are given standardized names in this hypertext, consisting of the name of the surah in Arabic and an English translation (where feasible) of the name of the Surah. The Palmer text is a key part of the Sacred Books of the East: it is very definitely in the public domain. The Rodwell text is the other version which is in the public domain; the primary drawback is that the Surahs are not in the usual order: for this reason we have named each file in Rodwell by the canonical number. The Pickthall text is more literary and certainly more readable, and is probably a better version for citation purposes. The Yusuf Ali text is probably the best for modern readers.

Please note that there are alternate titles for several of the Surahs; the titles are not considered part of the canonical, revealed Qur'an. Notably, Surah 17 is known both as Al-Isra, typically translated The Night Journey and Bani Israel, typically translated The Children of Israel. // Technical note: linking to this hypertext."
