This week, they ate all my tomatoes perfectly ripened and ready to pick, and all green tomatoes and all of the tomato plants to the dirt.

First time in the 10 years we've known her!

Clarice is Lady's baby from 2 years ago, pie wacket is her sister from 1 year ago.

Just don't be showing up around here! I've finally convince my neighbor not to kill any from my herd....he said he would only go for Bucks....which is good.....except I do have Clarice's twin brother Rudolph that was shewed off by mama Lady out to another herd, when he became of age..... He still comes back every once in a while though....

I don't hunt them. We have about 100 acres of wooded land, but it would be nice to get some pictures this year.

I'm a little worried.... Maine opened season on Doe this past year and Hunter's had a record season....I think doe are open for hunting this 2023 season too....

My little girls need to stay nearby all hunting season! Can't fire near a home....

We are going apple picking by the bushel at an apple orchard less than 5 miles from here to stock up for hunting season, in hopes to keep them nearby.... The orchard isn't open for picking until Sept 16.....bummer, we wanted to go today!

We have Apple trees, that drop Apple's for about a month, but every deer that exists on earth, or at least in Maine , shows up here to eat them, and they are gone fast!

Bumper crop of pears this year. Many dropping and rotting since early August. Deer galore ..and groundhogs ..dammit.

The more garden we planted, the more deer showed up. So we would poach a couple each year: the ones we did not like. And give the back straps to the poor.
