The horrendous trade agreement that Ross Perot correctly warned us about 25 years ago is at the end of the line. The details of the new US-Mexico agreement are not finalized but is there anyone who believes a Donald Trump negotiated trade agreement is not more beneficial for America? Canadian agreement is next on the agenda. MAGA

U.S. and Mexico Agree to Preliminary Nafta Deal

From your source:

Many of the most significant changes agreed to by Mexico and the United States simply update the pact to take into account the rise of the internet and the digital economy since the agreement was negotiated. But Mr. Trump’s advisers have also pressed for big alterations to the rules governing automobile manufacturing, in an effort to bring more car production back to the United States from Mexico.

To qualify for zero tariffs under Nafta, car companies would be required to manufacture at least 75 percent of an automobile’s value in North America under the new rules, up from 62.5 percent previously.

:spinner:

Hey 12.5% is 12.5% better. Good Job Mr. President.

Such a minor “concession” on the part of Mexico probably could have been derived without you acting like a total ass however.

You forgot:

They will also be required to use more local steel, aluminum and auto parts, and have a certain proportion of the car made by workers earning at least $16 an hour, a boon to both the United States and Canada.
