Human rights in Singapore - Wikipedia

"The government has restricted freedom of speech and freedom of the press and has limited other civil and political rights.[18]

"The right to freedom of speech and association guaranteed by Article 14(1) of the Constitution of Singapore is restricted by the subsequent subsection (2) of the same Article.

"The only place in Singapore where outdoor public assemblies do not require police permits (for citizens) is at the Speakers' Corner which is loosely modelled on Hyde Park, London.

"However, foreigners still require a permit to speak at the park, and one must still register one's personal details with the National Parks Board online before speaking or protesting at the Speakers' corner, and there are also many surveillance cameras in the park, a situation that some Singaporeans and Singaporean MPs have commented on."
Guess I'll stay in Arkansas.

A scumbag oligarch. Capitalist in other words.

There seems little doubt should China or Russia take over the US position of dominance in world affairs, there would not be even a token appreciation of democracy or human rights?
All the more reason for the US to stop being the dick of the planet.

You don't blame The Chinese Communist for killing Millions in North Vietnam, and the people in South Vietnam wanting to be free, you blame them, and blame them for asking The French and US to try to stop their country from being destroyed by Communism?

What's it like to be Putin's Butt Plug?

Ask them how well capitalism was doing in 1929.

To the extent that capitalism’s problems – inequality, instability (cycles/crises), etc. – stem in part from its production relationships, reforms focused exclusively on regulating or supplanting markets will not succeed in solving them. For example, Keynesian monetary policies (focused on raising or lowering the quantity of money in circulation and, correspondingly, interest rates) do not touch the employer-employee relationship, however much their variations redistribute wealth, regulate markets, or displace markets in favor of state-administered investment decisions. Likewise, Keynesian fiscal policies (raising or lowering taxes and government spending) do not address the employer-employee relationship.

Keynesian policies also never ended the cyclical instability of capitalism. The New Deal and European social democracy left capitalism in place in both state and private units (enterprises) of production notwithstanding their massive reform agendas and programs. They thereby left capitalist employers facing the incentives and receiving the resources (profits) to evade, weaken and eventually dissolve most of those programs.

It is far better not to distribute wealth unequally in the first place than to re-distribute it after to undo the inequality. For example, FDR proposed in 1944 that the government establish a maximum income alongside a minimum wage; that is one among the various ways inequality could be limited and thereby redistribution avoided. Efforts to redistribute encounter evasions, oppositions, and failures that compound the effects of unequal distribution itself. Social peace and cohesion are the victims of redistribution sooner or later. Reforming markets while leaving the relations/organization of capitalist production unchanged is like redistribution. Just as redistribution schemes fail to solve the problems rooted in distribution, market-focused reforms fail to solve the problems rooted in production.

Since 2008, capitalism has showed us all yet again its deep and unsolved problems of cyclical instability, deepening inequality and the injustices they both entail. Their persistence mirrors that of the capitalist organization of production. To successfully confront and solve the problems of economic cycles, income and wealth inequality, and so on, we need to go beyond the capitalist employer-employee system of production. The democratization of enterprises – transitioning from employer-employee hierarchies to worker cooperatives – is a key way available here and now to realize the change we need.

Worker coops democratically decide the distribution of income (wages, bonuses, benefits, profit shares, etc.) among their members. No small group of owners and the boards of directors they choose would, as in capitalist corporations, make such decisions. Thus, for example, it would be far less likely that a few individuals in a worker coop would earn millions while most others could not afford to send children to college. A democratic worker coop decision on the distribution of enterprise income would be far less unequal than what typifies capitalist enterprises. A socialism for the 21st century could and should include the transition from a capitalist to a worker-coop-based economic system as central to its commitments to less inequality and less social conflict over redistribution.

Capitalism Is Not the “Market System”
Democracy, not capitalism, will save the middle class. In fact the middle class is the invention of liberal democracy. Labor laws. Unions.

Men and women had to fight to make companies treat people right. Makes me mad to see these ungrateful poor and middle class republicans vote against themselves. There’s so much they haven’t a clue about.

We get all their free market capitalism bs. It comes down to this. Who’s the boss? We the people or corporations aka the rich?

Right now the rich rule. As union membership declined so did wages. The gap between rich and poor grew.

And still people vote republican

I think USMB has given Russian Trolls enough run on this thread.

I know I have.

They are now down to calling their Russian Oligarchs Evil Capitalists.

Socialism Concentrates Wealth in the hands of The Few while it is Capitalism that shares the wealth.

Only a Capitalist Nation can take a poor homeless man and elevate him to a millionaire.

No other system can boast this and no other system has produced more millionaires, and more minority billionaires than American Capitalism.

Capitalism Is Not the “Market System”

What happened, is that we allowed Socialism, and Centralization of Banking.

The IRS, and the Newly Created Federal Reserve took control of our Economy and intentionally caused The Great Depression so they could confiscate The Wealth of America and destroy Private Banks, so your bullshit post, actually illustrates the danger of Socialism and the danger of a Centralized Government and Centralized Control of an economy.

Overnight we went from a Cash Hard Asset Economy to a Debt Credit Economy with the Debt being owed to The Federal Reserve and their Thugs, The IRS.

But all Socialists are Idiots, and not really all that useful, so no surprise you got this wrong.

Take Stalin's Dirty underwear out of your mouth.

BTW, the reason JFK was assassinated was because he wanted to give control of our money supply back to a Constitutional Entity called The Treasury, and remove it from an Unconstitutional Organization called The Federal Reserve.

Federal Reserve Notes are Private Bank Notes and Instruments of Debt. Every time you use one, you are taking out a loan from The Federal Reserve payable in Future Tax Dollars. The Federal Reserve charges The American People Interest for using their Bank Notes.

We should abolish The Federal Reserve.

Only Treasury Notes, Gold, and Silver are Constitutional Currency.
I agree. The creation of central banks ended up being the single worst thing that they could have sprung upon the economy. I often wonder if we are where we are right now primarily because of them.

Good points but even after Nixon took us off the gold standard and $900 billion
in debt from the Vietnam War, we would have been fine until the antitrust and tax laws were changed in the 80's and then killing Glass Steagall in the 90's which, among other things led to the crash of 2008.

Wrong. That was already proven to be a lie.

The whole problem with Russia Russia is that there isn’t a shred of evidence for it.

7 Investigations with the same conclusion, No Collusion.

That’s why this hoax is nothing but a cover up operation to save Obama’s reputation from being that of a Marxist Traitor who begged Putin to smear President Trump for him to stop Obama from being exposed as the Criminal America hating Manchurian Candidate he was should Trump and not Clinton be elected.

This is why Mueller completely ignored The Sourcing of The Dossier.

Branding an American President like Obama a Monstrous Criminal Traitor would make Ferguson look like a camp fire.

So The Intelligence Community has to cover for his crimes and theirs and we will move on eventually.

The Podesta Group’s Board composed entirely of Russian Nationals got their hooks in to Clinton, then took her and Obama’s $14 Million, laundered it through COIE law firm to Fusion GPS to pay Russians to interfere in our elections like Obama tried to interfere in Israel’s Elections.

All FACTS!

A coverup is good for America actually though I’d like to see Obama and Clinton burn for their crimes.

We have bigger fish to fry than to try both of them for treason.

Let Obama and Clinton live in eternal shame just like OJ Simpson.

And let’s get down to the business of running America instead.

Schiff is saying that he wants to focus more on the money laundering of Deutsche Bank.

Ok. No panic.

Just an investigation.
Things that happen during the presidency are the only things that are impeachable.. This is an old story, prior to him becoming president.. So now you idiots are reduced to investigating things he can not be impeached For?

You fucking idiots are priceless morons...

The money laundering show how and where Putin first got his hooks into Trump. If Mueller has been barred from pushing that part of the investigation for any reason, the House has no such constraints. Schiff is warning the White House that if Mueller is being blocked from pursuing the money laundering, the House will do after it.

The Democrats aren't interested in impeaching Trump, they interested in neutralizing the damage he's doing. They are actually fearful that Trump's treason may be such that they will have no choice, but it's not something they have an interest in doing. They want to focus on protecting the 2020 election from a both interference from foreign entities, and voter suppression by Republicans which was saw on a massive scale in 2018.

The the USA is not holding fair and free elections where all qualified American citizens have the means and opportunity to cast their ballots and to have them counted. The days when Party chose the voters, are over.

The biggest hypocrite and the most dishonest people I have ever met in my life are all Socialists. Lying comes as easy to them as hypocrisy.
Russia at this point is a corrupt oligarchy close to dictatorship, and Putin is a scumbag. Is also socialist barely because socialism is democratic at this point-- communism isn't.
There is no evidence the clintons asked Putin for help, and the uranium never left our control. Stupid phony scandal super duper.
It was Republican competitors with Trump in the Republican primaries that started that dossier. Clinton just took it over when Trump won.
Too bad there's no evidence for any of that, all investigated and nothing there at all but GOP super crap.
