No One Has a Right to Health Care

Those wo can afford it will contribute the best they can. Those who can't will receive assistance from We the People

Will contribute, or forced to? Big difference.

If you think it's a right for people to have healthcare, charity starts at home.

I see you post during working hours. You must have a lot of time on your hands. Why don't you do volunteer work at your local hospital? If you think it's a right for people to have healthcare, do your part in providing that care.

Are you forced to belong to our society?
You can leave any time you wish

However, I predict the society you join will do even more for healthcare

Ahh.. yes.. Obey or leave. The essence of the authoritarian mindset.
The issue is "forced"
Nobody is "forced" to be an American

But if you accept being an American, you accept the decisions of We the People

Is that so? So what if we the people decided to bring back slavery again? Well.......are you an American or not?

Interesting perspective

Are you in any way equating saving people's lives to slavery?

Everyone has a right to earn their healthcare, meaning like with everything else there is no free lunch.

So why did Wall Street get a free lunch with zero interest rates?
Oh by the way, that is why they are now throwing up all over themselves. Jeeez, they have to now pay .25 %

Everyone has a right to healthcare

Even the most callous conservatives would admit it. Now all we have to do is figure out the best way to ensure it. Other countries already have

If everyone has a right to healthcare, who is supposed to provide this right?

maybe he is like me and quit his job, went back to college and started working a night shift somewhere?

Don't you believe it. :badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:

The issue is LIBERTY

Nobody is "forced" to be American.

But if you accept being an American, you accept the Constitution (1787)

Under the Constitution you can be helped VOLUNTARILY or

you can steal or manipulate the government to steal for you

It will be up to taxpayers and or producers to stand their ground at any time and use VIOLENCE to terminate your tendencies.

.

In the declaration of independence, it says we have certain God-given, unalienable, rights.

Do you reject that premise?

If not, tell us what those rights are.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness--not the funding of happiness.
Do you deny that healthcare is the essence of life?

So if someone does not earn the $100,000 it costs for ten days in a hospital, they deserve to die?

That is a defeatist mentality

It would be so easy - opt in or opt out.

The ones who want to sign up for the programs done, the ones that don't - don't.
Everyone is...

How does a newborn with a heart defect opt out? Except dying, of course.
What do you mean? no one is denying emergency room services...

Complex pediatric cardiac surgery is not performed in the ER.

Now let's talk about the poster upthread who's on kidney dialysis through no fault of his own. What's your answer to him?

This is why socialism never works, no one takes responsibility for themselves.

No, merely pointing out that just because the people want something doesn't mean that government is obliged to give us that something.

Maybe down the road, most people will want the government to give them an in-ground swimming pool. Is that the role of government because we the people want it? Maybe we will get so sick of supporting prisoners because they were selling illegal recreational narcotics, so we the people decide such activity should be penalized by death. Or maybe our death penalty is too easy and not enough satisfaction for the family of the victim, so we put people to death by tying them up and beating them with a bat.

That's not good enough. In true "rightwinger" fashion, they want to send in the good squad to kick ass and take names.

Would you want the help if you needed it. And..why not? Seems like a better investment than going to Mideast countries and blowing up extremists just cause we can,

Shit happens, me and millions just like me can not afford to pay for other people's shit. We have our own shit to deal with.
Life is not an charity - was never meant to be one

funny thing, years ago I broke my back, I didnt have insurance at the time. I ended up getting surgeries and then, paying it off in installments. What a shocker. Did you know hospitals will do this?

So we can coddle to Wall street and give them zero interest to use money at will to jack up oil prices in order to fleece the average person. Yet we be damned is we tell them they have to pay a little more in taxes due to the health effects that they prolificated on people due to the stress of having to pay these freaking bills.

If people want "free" healthcare, fine by me, as long as everybody is providing it.

I say a consumption tax of 20 cents on the dollar should do it. We can get rid of Medicare, Medicaid, the SCHIPS program and others.

Everybody pays: the rich, the poor, the middle-class, the prostitutes, the thieves, everybody. The more you buy, the more tax you pay.

Problem soloved.

My neighbor died a few years ago. I still miss her.

She was a heavy smoker of cigarettes and pot, and ended up with lung cancer.

She didn't make that much money so she never accepted her companies health coverage plan. She needed the cash instead.

She went through everything to try and save her life. The Cleveland Clinic even brought her transportation to get to the hospital and back.

She didn't pay anything for her treatment, and when she died, she left her house to her son. Nobody tried to take it from her or her son.

you lie, why do you lie,, tell what really happened.
the republicans came to her house and rolled her out into the street then sold her house for campaign funds.

So it appears that Patriots support allowing poor people to die
