Zone1 Noah's Ark

Most of the debate rests on whether a structure like the ark was capable of surviving a massive flood. Most who argue against this just want to argue.

There was no global flood. It's a morality tale.

The Burckle crater at the bottom of the Indian Ocean under 11,000 feet of water is about 25 times the size of meteor crater in Arizona and dates to the approximate time of the flood stories. The impact would have instantly vaporized billions of metric tons of water into the atmosphere causing mega tsunamis and superstorms and a worldwide deluge that lasted for weeks sweeping away every coastal city and every village and settlement built next to rivers, streams, and even dry washes in the deserts on every continent. So they used this event to teach children morals.

Even so, the reality endured was by far more mind boggling than any myth or fairy tale ever written

I would say after Joshua.
Notice history in quotes. Prior to Abraham is allegory. With Abraham starts a narrative that can be taken more at face value. Events may or may not have happened as described, but they are more plausible. Even ages make more sense if you subscribe that because there are 2 "new year" in the Jewish calendar, halves the ages. Means Sarah would have been 45 when she got pregnant.

I'm confused. I understood there are four Jewish New Years?

Things like Tu B'Shvat are not really new years. The 2 new year concept comes from the logic that there is the first day of the first month, and then Rosh HaShana, literally "Head of the year" which occurs on the first day of the 7th month. These days, we only count Rosh HaShana, but some make the case for both of those to be counted for ages.

Thank you.

That makes sense.

The true church has been on the run until it arrived in America and people were ensured the right to freedom of religion.
You need to provide an alternate point of view instead of just throwing stones.
does your church not include jesus as well as the christian bible ... you use their tactics, christianity throughout your posts - to persecute and victimize the innocent are you claiming now you are not a christian.

what is your church ...

With Abraham starts a narrative that can be taken more at face value ...

the narratives are true when the facts are made plausible - noas ark occurred 100k's years prior when the first true village emerged for some reason evil has the upper hand the heavens made the adjustment and since have let it be ...

abraham was never spoken to by the heavens nor was there a burning bush - you are no different, bias than rational.

No, most of the debate centers around the absurdity of the idea of a boat that can hold two of every animal in earth and how they got to the boat in the first place
You are a late arrival to the argument. ;)

Was 45 considered old age in that time?

Then why is the argument usually about the seaworthiness of the ark?
It could be as simple as two of every creature, clean and unclean, of the human sort was on the ark, you know, talking serpents, talking donkeys, swine that do not ruminate, dogs, vultures, vermin, maggots, brown nosed dorks, etc, all of the human archetypes described in kosher law.

Just like the creatures described in the 5 books of the Torah, held in the ark of the covenant, talking serpents being the lowest of lowlifes, lower than cattle and all the wild beasts of the field.

The Santa Maria could have easily held them all...

That not what the narrative suggests.

Genesis 17:17
Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

The Santa Maria was quite small... 62 feet long. The biggest of Christopher Columbus's ships.

And if you subscribe to the theory that ages are doubled because of 2 new years, that's 45
