In addition to being Privatized with all the same rules and regulations the expected return on the investment would have been huge what SS now provides 1.2% would have been increased to 6% or higher with all the same safe guards as ss now has or in this case had.

American seniors are some of the most brainwashed flag wavers of all. They've spent their whole lives believing giant lies.I truly do feel sorry for them.I figured SS was just another scam ever since I was old enough to understand it. About 50 years ago.

I came to the same conclusion many years ago, but since I worked for a wage or a salary with a few years as self employed thrown in, I was required to pay into Soc Sec.

Even when I served for 6 years as an officer and a gentleman I had to pay Soc Sec.
