Not necessarily. I feel good about voting for the candidate that most closely matched my thoughts and beliefs. I don’t really see voting as a sport or as a bet, and “winning” isn’t really a priority for me personally as much as having a clear conscience. As for it being weird I can see that, but I’m admittedly weird too so there’s that.

My vote had value to me. That's the main point that I am trying to make. We each have a subjective perspective on what brings each of us value and meaning, and I think how we vote is in that same category. It's ok that we disagree though. If you vote and your candidate loses it doesn't mean that your vote didn't have enough meaning attached to it or that it lost all of its value in my opinion. If Trump loses I would assume your vote still had meaning for you, right?

If your state is going to undoubtedly deliver its EV to one of the two candidates, a protest vote makes some sense. Not voting at all is not a positive since there's always someone down ballot or some initiative worth voting for or against.
