Paul: I don't think McConnell has votes to pass healthcare bill now

NO ONE has ever been denied health care in this country. NO ONE.

Don't be too sure. They might eventually let you see some sort of medical staff, run a rudimentary test, then send you on your way without giving you the real tests, doctors and operations that you would have gotten and should have gotten otherwise. Maybe even hound you with outrageous charges to scare you away from coming back.

The health care system was better before Obama. Ask anyone who pays taxes and works for a living.
Many people with preexisting conditions and who who couldn't afford insurance would disagree with you

Then deal with pre-existing. Why blow up the whole mess as ObamaCare did? The poor were already eligible for MediCaid.

THERE WAS NO MENTION OF "FIXING" HEALTHCARE WHEN OBAMA RAN. Not that I can ever remember. Nor do I remember any cry for a revolution in healthcare. Whatever Obama ran on, it was not healthcare. Then once in, all of a sudden, the whole thing with Obamacare started. Have to pass the bill to see what's in it, remember? I used to have healthcare that I could go see any doctor I wanted for anything I wanted, when I wanted, no PCP, no questions asked. Want to see a specialist? Just go. $15 copay. Maybe $10. That was 2007. Then Brackass O'Blama "fixed" it.

If you asked me, they should have just left healthcare alone but fixed it so people with existing conditions could get care more affordably.

Wow, you have an incredibly screwed memory of history. Take a little time and do some research of what was being discussed in the main stream. Sounds to me like you stay with the isolated partisan news sources

I suppose its possible. My memory seems to be pretty good on everything else, but I suppose it could be screwed up with regards to Barack's 2008 campaign. Not exactly the highlight of my life that year.

I suppose the logical question this brings to the fore is that another poster here said that NO ONE goes without healthcare in this country, yet Barry says in the video that vast numbers of people didn't have heath insurance, could not get healthcare or had their healthcare policy cancelled. Yet no one goes without healthcare. So I wonder, why don't those people just go to the emergency room and get healthcare? How is anyone denied healthcare if everyone gets it?

I guess one thing I might answer is that having health insurance is not the same as getting healthcare.

Anybody can get care in the case of an emergency. Hospitals have to treat people in the ER. That causes issues for both the hospitals who have to eat those costs, and for the uninsured who usually go bankrupt or into massive debt. Obama missed the mark with his goal of reducing premiums by $2500. He missed the mark when insurance companies and businesses dropped policies that didn't meet ACA standards and people had to get new coverage. I think the execution was poor. I think their hearts were in the right place. I would have very much like to see some smart fiscal conservatives working on the the construction or amendments of the ACA. Maybe then it would have had better opportunity for success.

What I remember is that people used to get good healthcare for a good price because your employer bore the cost. That was part of your compensation package. Then the corporations worked it out with the Obama government that they cut your pay, cut your hours and shifted the burden of healthcare onto the employee so that the corporations and government got richer and the workers got poorer. Much much poorer.

Thats not how i've seen it but i'm opening to hearing about some examples that display the point you are making. Can you give me some material to read or explain with facts, numbers and details how all that played out?

Nope. I don't get my info from internet articles and webspaces, I get my information directly from real life.

Dude, it's after ten and I'm going to make dinner. All I can tell you is that I used to get unlimited healthcare ten years ago with no questions asked and my biggest out of pocket was $15 office visit. I was sick for a year and not only were all medicals covered but I even still collected an income to live on. Go and try to get that now. Of course, I was with a multi-billion dollar company.

I'm pretty sure employees of multi billion dollar companies still have that kind of coverage.
