Paul Ryan is an excellent choice!

Just watched the rally in North Carolina. The Ryan pick has definitely added energy as well as a straight forward message for the Romney campaign.

I think the word that can encapsulate this Romney Ryan ticket would be "REAL"

Now the real issues are being talked about and a straight forward plan for the future of our country is being brought to the forefront. A real plan, not pie in the sky utopia

Which is troubling:

Why is the Romney campaign only now getting energized and realizing a ‘straight forward message,’ this late in the game?

Why the perception on the part of Romney for a need to continue to pander to the radical right by selecting a teabagger as VP nominee?

Why is Romney at this point of the election season still working for republican votes?

The fact remains that Romney is simply not trusted by a significant percentage of the GOP, the radical right in particular.

This is a GOP presidential candidacy held together not by support of Romney but hate of Obama, and hate for Obama alone isn’t going to win the election for Romney.

Republicans are showing a inclination to reject those republicans who are willing to compromise to the detriment of the nation. While everyone recognizes that some sort of compromise is inevitable, compromise on core issues will not be tolerated.

This is exciting news, because it will force both campaigns to talk about the future.

Paul Ryan's budget is not a theory; it's real and he proposed it, and the House passed it.

But the Paul Ryan budget will now be front and center, and if you read it and you're going to play "debate club" with a friend and you're gonna play the Democrat arguing against the Republican, the Ryan budget is like red meat.
