i dont believe most of that.....how can a few thousand people from california turn a state with millions in it into another California?....if millions moved there then i can see that....
Like they did in Colorado.
I think they go south in the winter to FL to avoid the ice and snow. Not just from NY either, and many go back in the summer for the reasons you mentioned. But when they retire, a lot more of them stay in FL.
Most stay in Florida longer, because they are legal FL residents, so they no longer pay NY income taxes.
