Petition to revote Arizona primary due to Voter Suppresion

Is it alleged that the Arizona electoral board deliberately mislabeled the political party of registered voters? Where is the evidence?
Evidence? Liberals don't need no stinking evidence.

The petition is supported by Republicans too....they had long lines in the primary as well.

Who exactly are they petitioning?

It's on WhiteHouse.gov

Why would the federal government have anything to do with a private organization in Arizona? They should be petitioning the private organization.

Arizona has a bipartisan (if that's the right word??) primary, both parties go to the same polling locations. The county government of Maricopa County cut the number of polling locations significantly from 2012, despite a much more active primary.

Not a big surprise when you look into how the lines were last night. The Republican legislators sure love their voter suppression though, they won't give it up, I think they're hooked

Name me one person, just one person over 18 years old who don't have an ID.

...wow.

It's ridiculous that the government of arizona would even be involved in the operation of a private organization.

It's very normal for state/local governments to be active in their state's primaries....particularly for Presidential elections.

There's no reason for the government to be involved in the operation of a private organization, which is what political parties are.

How is this a federal issue?
When the Supreme Court got rid of the voter's rights, GOP can suddenly do what they want. So one liberal district when from over 200 voting locations in the last election to less than 60. That's why the enormously long lines. Republicans are swine. We knew it was coming. They can't win on policy so they follow anti American policies. 21000 people for each Democratic polling place.

How is this a federal issue?

Is that a real question?

WTF does the federal government have to say about how a party handles its internal primaries, duh

And why are local governments co-opted to help these private organization hold their elections.

And why does a person have to register with the government in order to be able to participate in his organization's operations.

Private political parties should not be subsidized and supported by government.

Some states do actually leave it all to the state parties (Like Nevada's Republican caucus I believe). But they tend to get messy and unorganized. Also by having the state involved the parties can utilize state funding. Not saying this is right or wrong, but that's how it is.

It is part of the duopoly set up. The top two parties to get votes in the previous Presidential election have all kinds of tax payer goodies tossed their way.

So what? The fact that a private organization gets messy and disorganized is none of the government's concern.

Also by having the state involved the parties can utilize state funding.

Which is also ridiculous. Why does a private organization need or deserve state funding?

Not saying this is right or wrong, but that's how it is.

I'm saying it's wrong.

Yep. And it's ridiculous for the state to grant such special privileges to private political organizations.

The primaries aren't "just" for Democrats or Republicans....any political party can utilized them.

The government should concentrate on governing, not involving itself with the workings of private organizations. The fact that the two are in any way connected is ridiculous.
