Yeah, but in this case it was uncalled for to send the dog to attack him since his hands were already up.

There was so much more wrong with the incident (with the handler and dog) than just that.

The guy was on his knees with his hands up when the dog finally recovered from the confusion the bumbling idiot who sent it caused, first of all.

No, they were not "his" officers. The dog was with the local police. The state police told him do not release the dog and he did.

This was a total fuckup on the cops part. The dog was not needed. This is all over the trucking forums I'm a member of.

It wasn't a ticket he was trying to avoid, it was a roadside inspection.

We truck drivers can get pulled over for no reason at all just for an inspection. We are not paid to sit on the side of the road for the inspection, so we drivers try to avoid these as best we can because they CAN take HOURS. This guy had a missing mudflap and the bear was going to pull him over and give him a full roadside inspection for it. The driver knew this so he didn't stop. Smart? No. But we aren't paid to sit and tolerate mistreatment that we endure out here so I can understand his frustrations.
