Poll: Are you finally over Trump?

Is it finally time for the GOP to move beyond Trump?

I'm a Republican, and realize Trump is hurting my Party. Go DeSantis!
DeSantis is as bad as Trump, if not worse.

And DeSantis is very much a disciple of Trumpism/’MAGA’; indeed, DeSantis is just as wrong on the issues as Trump.

‘MAGA’ is much more than Trump, ‘MAGA’ is much more than lying about ‘stolen’ elections and ‘fraud’; what today is labeled as ‘MAGA’ long predates Trump.

Same message, different messenger.

And Biden is going to hand the presidency to one of them in 2024.

Okay, let's kind of get a feel where everyone is at. I put in a third choice for people who realized Trump was a terrible idea all along, but I want to see how many people still think he's helping your cause after Tuesday's Red Wave turned into a Pink Mist.
We’re not all self-hating, American, White haters like yourself, doughboy.

If trump is a terrible choice who needs to go then libs must think trump voters need to go too

But I intend to stick around

Unfortunately not.

The fear, ignorance, racism, bigotry, and hate that is Trumpism/’MAGA’ will remain an ongoing threat to the American political process and democracy.

Americans must be vigilant in their opposition to Trumpism/’MAGA’ – as they were this year.

At some point, the Republicans are going to realize this isn't working. How many elections are they prepared to lose? By 2024, the Dems will be in a better position to reverse much of the gerrymandering which has been done. I also have little doubt that the Republican war for control of the party will be especially ugly and divisive.

Racism is never going to go away in the USA. Too many people have been able to use it effectively for it to go away.

You forgot an option.

Are you a democrat who still hates your life because you don't see TRUMP! behind bars and broke? Those are the people we should be worrying about and who will never get over TRUMP!.

I think you have nailed it. Trump may be finished but the conditions that led to his assnt are still present.
Uneducated bigots will just transfer to another authoritarian shit similar to trump.
Education is the answer but the bovine right are trying to ban that.

White grievance politics and racist replacement theory as practiced Republicans/conservatives long predate Trump.

Trump merely exploited the racism, bigotry, nativism, and hate that has been conservatism for at least the last 50 years.

Rejecting Trump and embracing DeSantis won’t solve the problem – it’s still the same failed, wrongheaded conservative dogma, what today is referred to as ‘MAGA.’

Who's your candidate, Jones?

Don't answer with word salad, put it out there.

You won't

The problem is that it does work for Republicans/conservatives – from ‘welfare queen’ to Wille Horton to lies about ‘open borders’ today; the right has long used racist fearmongering and demagoguery as partisan weapons, and there’s no evidence they’re going to abandon such racist tactics.

This is exactly how we wound up with Brandon.

If you mean Biden, no that is not why you ended up with Biden. Biden had the experience and ability to get his agenda legislated. He had experience in reviving a crashed economy because he did the technical work in reviving the Bush economy in 2009.

Unlike Trump, who said "I alone can fix it", Biden had the resources and the understanding of the job to surround himself with capable people and delegated the work, as much as possible. Firstly, building a distribution network and infrastructure to get the nation vaxxed as quickly as possible.

Biden was elected because he had the skills and the experience to clean up the mess made by the failed reality TV show fake billionaire, and his fellow grifters, liars, and sycophants.

I was talking about Brandon, not Hunter. You're Canadian so you wouldn't understand that Brandon is a worse president than Carter and your snowflake of a prime minister.

I was never a Trump fan but voted for him in 2020 because I didn't want the left's woke socialism and the economy destroyed with high inflation, which is exactly what we got.
