In any political party you're going to have splits. The Democrat party majority of course would never be for the end of capitalism.
There are factions within it that would prefer some type of socialism--but they would never have the support in their own party to get to that point. As the majority of the Republican party are moderates and respect U.S. Supreme court decisiions on Roe V Wade and gay marriage, there is a faction within the party that will continue to fight against it, and will never get anything done.
Within both parties there are moderates--(the majority) & then the left and right wing of both parties which are the minority of both parties.

You think that when people buy political power, that's capitalism. It's not, it's socialism. Government is making our choices, which is central economic planning, which is by definition socialism.
