Poll: What do you think the minimum voting age should be? And why?

If that's the way you feel, fine, but that has nothing to do with age. If they are fucking him at 18, they will fuck him at 28. I've been a diabetic since the age of 23 and always had my employer sponsored insurance

Yes they will, thus I will help him by keeping him on my insurance till I am no longer legally able to do so.

Are you Type 1 or two?

18 like many others have said. If you are old enough to join the military and defend your country you are old enough to vote. I also think the drinking age and age to gamble should also be 18. Either you are an adult or you are not, no more half way shit

Sorry but it is half-way shit. Some are adults at 18 and others are still children. We are not robots. We are all different.

Then explain why as you claim 18 is adult, they can't legally purchase alcoholic beverages, or cigarettes.
Can be asked to goto war and take life or death choices and the consequences of your actions...

But can't have a beer????

They fuck them over by how much they are willing to cover, what the price of insulin they will cover and how much they are allowed to have

There is no age where they stop fucking people over, but I am lucky to have retired from the Marine Corps and have great insurance for a very low price, in fact him being on the policy does not change the premiums at all.
If you have very great insurance at a low price, it is because taxpayers are subsidizing it. That means that if your son is in the plan, taxpayers are subsidizing him as well.

I‘m OK with subsidizing insurance for vets - they served our country. But we shouldn’t have to subsidize their adult children, too.

Not according the dems who think mommy and daddy or the government should be giving free insurance and everything else till you are atleast 26...

If you aren't supporting yourself --then you shouldn't be considered an adult.
We wouldn’t have to if more employers offered benefits to new employees
Why are Conservatives so opposed to people being insured?

18 is old enough to fight and die for your country

Why don’t you want our soldiers to be able to vote for those who send them into combat?

We have an all volunteer military had have since the early 70's. The only people that send them to war are themselves. It's what they joined for.

Since Commie Care less and less companies are offering insurance. I've been insured all of my life through employer sponsored insurance until the day Commie Care started. Why don't you want US to be insured?

18. It's the way it's been and that's fine.

I want to say 21 because most of today's 18 year olds are as insightful and grown up and savvy and tough as a 12 year old. But I also know this won't last because eventually things are going to get so shitty the pussy ass bitch kids in America are going to get weeded out.

Love watching Republicans trying to block people from voting

It scares them

Nah. They join for living the benefits of all out socialism whilst shooting @ people who defend all out socialism.
Thank Gawd Iraq is liberated and free. I think it was worth it

It's not arbitrary, it's who we feel are responsible enough to vote and contributed to society.

It is the very definition of arbitrary, you are basing it off of your own personal opinion of when someone is responsible enough to vote

But we do not make laws for each individual, we make them for the masses. Some people at 50 are still children, should we make the drinking age 55?

Our laws in this area are stupid. At 18 you can die for your country and legally sign a binding contract but you cannot drink a beer or play a slot machine. Makes no sense at all.

But we have a lot of such laws in our country because they are based off of feelings and religious beliefs instead of facts and logic

Religion has nothing to do with it. Correct, some people never grow up, but if we moved the voting age we would harness more adult voters because some people don't become an adult until 20, 21, 25. It's why the drinking laws are what they are.
