Given his time served (and behavior) that is not uncommon at all.....He will never go to a lower than a Level 4 (out of five) prison due to his crimes....That's state law.

I'm very skeptical about that. The first guy who tried to assassinate Trump, Michael Sandford, only served 11 months in prison. Then he got a free plane ride back across the pond to the UK.

And he said he would do it again if he gets the chance.

But charges can change once a case goes to a grand jury.

If you point a rifle at a former President (one who is running again for the presidency), after lying in wait for like 12 hours, offhand it seems like your little plot was indeed to murder the man.

For purposes of at least arresting him and holding him in, the gun charges are sufficient.
